My phone has a RGB multicolor LED fortunately! :)

I checked with the Magisk module method described in the link below;
"[santoni] led multi color [custom roms]"
https://forum.xda-developers.com/xiaomi-redmi-4x/themes/santoni-led-multi-color-t3705921

and also with entering the codes from the terminal emulator on the phone such as:
echo 255 > /sys/class/leds/purple/blink

Phone: Redmi 4X Santoni MAG138 3/32GB
Manufacture Date: 2017.07 (can be found on the back of the retail package)
LCD Type: EbbgDJN
PCBA SN: *****F******
ROM: MIUI Global Stable v8.5.2.0 (Android 6.0.1)
Bootloader: Unlocked
Root: Yes, via Magisk v16.0 (Magisk Manager v5.8.3)

I have Redmi 4X 3/32 produced in 2017.10.
MAG138, screen type EbbgDJN.

Scripts to check the LED do not work. However, on MIUI9 after installing the package .zip (Do not remember its name, because I checked a lot of them) LED diode lighted RED! However, this package caused a problem with unblocking the screen (The screen was black and only slightly lit up).
I also checked apps like Light Flow (with root), custom roms but the led still remained white.

I think there is hope for a working RGB LED :)

Guys, idk why nobody has noticed but led type/color has nothing to do with the LCD type because the LED is on the USB board! So the newer phones has different USB board with white LED. Mine is manufactured in january of 2018 and has white only led.
