I just bought my Incredible last week and have been searching for a way to use the LED lights. I have been using the screen flashlights but they all suck. It looks like a LED light app was finally posted today. I just bought it for 99 cents. It lights up nice and bright just as bright as my pen LED flashlight. The only issue is the only way to turn off the LEDs is to hit the power button then you have to reboot the phone to regain camera functionality. Still a nice to have when I need more light than just the screen can provide me. It is really bright!

Actually it is in the market, 'Incredible LED Flashlight'

There are pics where the screen shots should be, of what looks like the light actually on...

So, who is going to buy it for a dollar?

Edit, i watched the dev's youtube video demonstration... it is just like the previous poster said, he can't figure out how to turn off the app yet. Once he has that fixed i will definately buy the app for a dollar.

is it worth a dollar now? or 5 dollars later? dam thats a hard decision... I might just donate a dollar now cause I see it actually works... I didn't use it much I only use it every once in a while but when I use it I use it for a few minutes at a time... I'll but it and keep you posted for when the update works properly I guess

If this guy can do it, someone else will, and they will charge less.

I see this guy making about 100 bucks for people who are willing to pay for his development and try and save a buck or 2... after it works properly I see this being a must have app for the Incredible

There has been an update
... Now it gives you the option to do amoled light or led... So if you dont need the power of the leds it will work fine as a screen light but still glitches from the leds

Flashlight app for droid incredible

Well, anyone who finds this page should be happy to know that the Droid Incredible now has a really good flashlight app, and it is free!

Comes as part of Android 2.2 Froyo

and works pretty well, has 3 brightness levels:

Partial SIngle LED power, Full Single LED power, and Dual LED power

I guess a mod should lock and close this thread?
Still a need for a solid LED flashlight app for custom ROMs...

Get extended controls from the market instead! The 'torch' widget option works on the Incredible as an LED flashlight wonderfully.
