My led screen display on case completely stop working after 3 short weeks of owning this case. It doesn't light up on outside case at all.
Q. What causes this?
2.IS there anything I can do to try and fix this issue?

LED Cover not working after screen replacement

Hi there, I broke the screen of my S7 Edge a week ago. I got a screen replacement yesterday (very expensive!). The phone works like a charm again but my LED View cover doesn't. The case triggers the magnetc sensor in testing mode (*#0*#) but the LEDs don't light up.
I remember that when I got the phone 3 months ago here was an accessory tab under settings. Now its gone! I updated my firmware to the latest PF2 but the LED cover was working fine till the screen replacement. Where would I find the Accessory tab in Settings? Should I perhaps update the firmware again? Many thanks for any reply. Cheers LJ

Both mine and my wife's case stopped working simultaneously. It was like a time bomb went off. Same exact phone, same exact case.

BUT ... it seemed to coincide with the latest update. Both went down right after that.

I hope we get a patch.

My case is still working OK, had a sofware update this morning, not sure what it was. My main concern is the lack of support for 3rd party apps. It will not show when I get a message from Skype, KIK, or any other social media app. I had the same case on my Note 4 and this worked perfectly with any 3rd party app, why o why couldnt they get it right with this one

So... We are in August and it looks like there's still no solution for having app notification in front of the led cover... It's frustrating. With my note 4 everything was perfect

My problem I still maintain is the last Verizon update. It worked before the update (on both my wife and I's phone and cover) - after the update, both cases stopped working.

Samsung of course said it was something I installed and wanted me to do safe mode booting, factory reset. Finally said they would escalate the issue - but .... nnnn'yeah ...

There are 2 ways this goes down! Firstly the LED view cover quality is useless AND the 7.0 software is bugged. I have 2 LED covers and they both stop working after 7.0 stable update (was working in previous 7.0 betas). I hardly believe the both broke on hardware level at the same time when the 7.0 update occured. I could flash Marshmallow again just to test this, but I've been too lazy (also 99% sure it will work again).

Works fine?

Weird. As I say, I’m using a silver LED View cover and it works fine with Nougat. I flashed the BTU firmware.
When you say it works fine.... what does that mean exactly?
Mine shows the time (for about 3 seconds) and shows me when someone is calling etc...
Which is all very well if I am right there; the time and all notifications disappear after about 3 seconds! Is this how it is supposed to work?
If I go to make a nice cuppa or crack a tinny open and come back to my phone I have absolutely no idea if I have missed a call or text etc...
Is there a way to keep the LED on all of the time? Appreciate this would cause battery drain; or maybe just on always when connected to the charger?
If not then this is possibly one of the most ill conceived ideas I have come across as it actually worsens the user experience by providing less feedback than a phone without a case at all.

Hope I am wrong and have missed a simple setting but knowing Samsung of late (they are losing the plot fast!) it probably is just that stupid.

Thanks in advance

Pretty much. You can press the power button when the case is closed to light up the time but it'll disappear within a few seconds. I get all the messages, missed calls, caller ID, music wave etc. LED and can answer calls and acknowledge alarms through the case. I don't really understand why but if you have a missed call you can only see that again if you flip the cover open and closed again! Would be good if missed calls are shown when tapping the power button too, but it'll just show time.

It's not Implemented great I'll give you that, but it turns heads because it looks cool lol

My led cover stopped working. Nougat 7.0. No time or call notification, only turned on the screen when opening case. Weird!
Mine has also stopped working since Nougat. I had been reading about how they all kinda crap out after a while and figured this was the reason but now I am curious if it was just the nougat upgrade that messed it up.

I think its just coincidence personally. Mine works as it did before after I upgraded to Nougat.

Ok. i am losing it...i know it is something with my phone and what it is broadcasting to the led flip but it refuses to let go of 1 notification that doesnt exist. Like nowhere. Ive tried swapping launchers changing badge notifications..blocking all..clearing all...reset to default and still the stupid envelope pops up each time i close the screen. If I get a text i will have the icon with a 2 next to it..view the text..back to 1. if closed and i hit the power button time pops up. Here is the stupid part. My wife has the exact same phone. Sprint Galaxy S7 Edge and i put the cover on hers and it works perfect..with nougat update. back to mine..back to showing one notification. without root..i cant for the life of me tell where this info is coming from...it must be somewhere...i even went in recovery and cleared cache...no option for dalvik but I just want to know what is broadcasting that..or what the case gets its info from. Like notifications and badges or what app communicates. ive disabled the accessory and enabled...its something..without root logcat shows me nothing.
HELP

UPDATE: 3/28/17
FIXED. IT DOESN'T SEEM AS IF ANYONE ELSE HAD THE SAME ISSUE BEING MINE WAS SO SPECIFIC. BUT IN CASE ILL POST THE FIX ANYWAY.

Info for all:
Services/Threads to filter in ADB (without root i had to use a pc)
AODService
NfcNfa
Samsung....i cant remember the rest but its obvious.
syntax: for me using usb: adb -d logcat -s "AODService","NfcNxp"
This is where i found variable changes when opening and closing the flip along with sending texts to raise the notification amount. For me it only pointed out my issue which was when I updated to Nougat I must have had one notification from Sprints version Enhanced Messaging side. Because I sent both from my wife's phone and the variable that was stuck at one didnt change until I sent the Enhanced. Once I did that and the variable changed to 2 all i had to do was check my sms messaging now that my wife was back in the small enhanced messaging group and i haven't texted her since the upgrade so each time i would check the sms notification it was only showing badges and unread from the regular sms/mms side. Once I opened the Enhanced messaging from her phone it automatically placed her back into that catagory to view the text..then reading and removing the ghost notification.
Long story short. If you have enhanced messaging the notifications from it are separated from the notifications for regular sms. like a whole separate invisible database that shows no evidence of existence ..pain in the a#@.
Hope the adb filter helps some. I saw finally what was actually doing the magic between the case and the phone even though nfc was turned off.
