Sorry just woke up.

So now that I am awake I did a little bit more digging.

Apparently what I am seeing is not what I thought...

I think...

It appears that they added a ring around the cutout now but it only appears when you are on the unlock screen and while you have facial recognition turned on for unlock.

No clue if this was present before. But still cool either way because that means that they have it working and can add it for notifications.

Sorry but this isn't the one we are looking for. We wanted that led light to appear for notifications and not just facial recognition.

It is a common and polite way on the Internet to share in the OP all the available information.

If you don't then don't be offended if people think it was fake or complain about the lack of information. [emoji6]
Don't be that guy. I shared when I had time to.

To much batery drain. Screen while notification comes always on phone dont go to sleep mode.

Same experience with me. The screen never properly locked the majority of the time. And when it did, this app, since it serves as a lockscreen layer, got in between the off-screen fingerprint reader popup and the actual lockscreen, making it damn near impossible to unlock the device.

It's a neat option, but I'd rather wait for a lighter, less of a hassle way to do this, or for Samsung to add the functionality themselves.

Aod edge

This is done through the app "Always on Edge" i think. Not natove system settings.

My phone does exactly what the video shows right now, through Always On Edge app

What settings do you have. I played with it for a bit and was crazy confusing and I couldnt get it to work how I expected it too. Thanks

So set it on "when screen is turned off" and "when new notification arrives", and then set AOE duration for particular apps or all app. And then set "Around notch only" and "automatically adjust notch".
These are the essential settings.

no worries dude.

I set some apps to trigger AOE "infinite" duration so that AOE is always on if notification.

So when i get a msg/notification i want it to light up... so i know i have something... but when i pick up my phone i want to be able to unlock it with my fingerprint to check what i got... so basically a true notification light... atm the cutout lights up but the surrounding is black... in order for me to check it i need to use the power button to turn off the screen and turn it back on to unlock the phone

Ok, in that case, on top of my screen shot, enable the "fingerprint is not working, try to fix it" option lol
This way the first time you touch(not click, if you enabled "allways-on fingerprint sensor") the power button it goes to lock screen and touch it again it will unlock.

I think this is as closes as it can get before samsung give us this feature in an update.
Or, the dev od this app seems to be working on this everyday, and hopefully he will beat samsung to it.
