Bluetooth tends to use up too much battery power, right? So maybe when am on home WLAN network I'll opt to turn it (bluetooth) off and just connect via wifi...

Bluetooth uses less than WiFi. I imagine you're thinking more along the lines of WiFi vs. GPRS where WiFi would be favorable. I'd let it do it's own auto-switching rather than force anything.

Did anyone else run into issues booting after installing this? Like sometimes the watch won't boot, and just turns off after the LG screen.

Good to see a little life in here, thought the watch threads would be uber quiet... Going to start playing a little more with the build this week
I just think most people were just lurking, because there wasn't anything compelling to flash before the WiFi mod, then this. [emoji2]

one thing i noticed though, i just feel like my phone battery drains a lot faster now, not sure if this is related with the watch as the connection sometimes dropped then will keep on reconnecting. this hasn't happened when i was still using my sony SW2. anyone experienced this?
