I did reflash the theme. I also changed the boot animation and start up sound. I didn't change the kernel for sure, I made a consious effort not to. I usually go for Corn 7.05.

It was just odd, The first time it happened I was texting with the wife, then it rebooted out of no where and came back up with no phone app. the second time (after the back to stock and reflash) I was on the phone, hung up looked at the home screen and it was gone.

I can try 3.4 and see what it does since 3.0 is behind now. Any chance the themes are going to follow over to 3.4?

Thanks again,

Geeve

Edit: I also noticed that the timer makes no alarm noise, didn't know if that was known either.

If your gonna flash 3.4 might I suggest the full wipe. Prolly be better overall to get rid of any possible issues.

As far as themes, well lets just say I had a senior moment. They have been done for a week but I just realized I forgot to send crt the links so he could update post #3.

Sorry guys I'll send those out and at least put them in a post a little bit later today.

I always use FW roms, just find it easier in the long run.

LOL, right on.

I will give 3.4 a go, and once the themes are up, i will DL and flash.

Thanks for your time!!

Geeve

I ran into an odd problem twice now on my back up phone. At some point the phone will crash and reboot. The last time it happened I had Good Mobile up and was launching Words with Friends. I noticed the boot animation came up (love the flying tiles btw). There the phone stays. It never boots. I have tried wiping Dalvik cache, cache partition, and fixing permissions. The last time it happened I tried reflashing the kernel and the no wipe ICS 3.4. The only way I can recover is do a Nandroid restore.

Do you think something on the Data partition is getting corrupt and causing the boot loop? I did not have the Full Wipe version to try that one.

I think that the old certifications aren't getting completely cleared for some reason, and something is causing a conflict, so you haven't done a full wipe, just no wipe? I'm thinking just doing a full wipe with 3.4 will solve those issues. For the flashlight toggle to work, the ROM needed to be resigned with new certifications. Doing a fresh install and just reinstalling all of the apps normally will give you the best results, then do a nandroid or tibu backup of legend 3.4 after that. There has been a couple issues reported about legend 3.4 no wipe already, another report and I may go ahead and pull the no wipe versions. I have not had any reports of issues with the full wipe version.

Yea to change the boot animation just replace that zip. Don't worry about the .qmg files. Now if you want to change your startup sound go to system/media/audio/effects look for poweron.ogg, if you do decide to change it you will need to convert your sound file to .ogg and use the same file name

I'm having a problem playing mp4 video files. I've tried using the stock player as well as Rockplayer. With the stock player, I get the error "Sorry this video cannot be played." Rockplayer says "can't open *filename* to play".

I am running Legend 3.7 ICS, which I installed via the No-Wipe over 3.4. I also am running TW4 and Corn Kernel 7.06. The file that I keep trying to play is an MP4 of Avatar that's about 4GB and is 1280x720, so it's HD. The file is on my internal SD card.

I did a nandroid backup and flashed the KK4 stock ROM. The first thing I did was try to open this file with the stock video player. It played without any problems. So then I flashed Corn 7.06. Still played fine right after I booted. Then I flashed the Legend 3.7 ICS Full Wipe. Right after boot I tried to open the file with the stock player and got the same error I had before. So it seems obvious to me that something in the ROM is causing the issue.

My next step is to try playing non-HD videos or try playing it with an older Legend version to see when the issue comes up.

Seems like the permissions for the codec maybe messed up. We are looking into it. Something done with ics theme that wasnt done on the other themes. Thanks for bringing this to our attention, we do appreciate it.

Flash back to GB from ICS

I'm currently on Doc's Master v11 and want to return to GB. The ICS EU bug has me worried. After reading the EU thread, I feel like I'm living on borrowed time on ICS.

Is there anything special that I need to do to flash this ROM? Can I just flash from CWM like normal?

Thanks in advance.

Don't blame you one bit. I've held off flashing ICS till something is resolved.

Anywho to come back to GB in the development stickies go to the one click thread and in the third post (i think) there is a kk4 one click with repartition by 4-2ndtwin. Use it then flash a cwm kernel like corn 6.03 7.0a or 7.06 then you'll be able to flash Legend. The reason for the one click with repartition is that ICS uses different partitions than GB.

Edit: Almost forgot be sure you have the I897 bootloaders if you need them the one click I mentioned has a version with and without boots

Hey, question about the lock screens in Legend 4 here.

I'm using the Epic lock as my lock screen, and I like it, but it doesn't have an unlock sound. I'd like it to have the same unlock sound as the Puzzle lock. Any easy way to DIY this?

Also, are there any plans to add more lock screens in the future, or is there a way we can add more native lock screens aside from downloading Widgetlocker/Go Locker/etc.?

Thanks!

Its not gonna be as easy as dropping in a sound file to make it work. You would have to do some XML editing in framework-res.

On the lockscreens I think we are about done. We have 15 in there and android can do 16 without problems. Anything more than 16 within the ROM would require a new database to be written.

Great rom! This is my first post here, but I've been hanging out since I got my captivate about a year ago. I've tried most of the roms here, and Legend is my favorite so far. I recently switched back to stock, but I'm flashing it again now.

One quick question - I noticed you said the ICS theme was updated. Was it updated in the full wipe rom download, or just the theme download (ie, do I need to flash the updated ICS theme after flashing the full wipe rom?).

Thanks!
