They did mentioned about fixing GPU problem on .231 but there is an issue with legion assistant .Thanks to Mickey36736 I managed to perform the update to zui 14.0.231 very easily.
A total life-saver because zui 14.0.197 has the frame drop problem. Which is so bad you almost don't wanna play your game anymore.
After 1 week of emailing lenovo China they tell you they only help mainland people. They tell you to contact the seller. The seller who is not responsable. In this case giztop. And listen giztop is an awesome company. I asked giztop if they would agree to accept back the tablet and make a refund. Because i wanted to order a new tablet and send the y700 with the update problem back to giztop. Thet agreed. Even though they are not responsable for this update problem. So giztop is just an awesome company.
zui company is responsable. They only react like this. Thank you for your feedback. Good luck. They don't care about anyone who lives outside China. They give you the big middle finger.
anyhow big thanks to Mickey here. Later guys!
Okay nice to know. Because the frame drop problem is not solved on ZUI 14.0.231. I justed started the game and the frame drops still occur. They did mentioned about fixing GPU problem on .231 but there is an issue with legion assistant .
When you switch power profile to power saving mode and then back to balance mode, the GPU and CPU clock speed remain the same as power saving mode which is annoying so you have to minimize the game and go back in to fix the issue. Which might explain why the performance is different
No, if you are definitely going to install a custom ROM, it doesn't really matter. I will say I am reasonably happy with ZUI 14, though I liked 13 better.Hi everyone. I'd like to buy the Legion Y700 and I plan on installing a custom ROM (I heard crDroid GSI is pretty good) but it's been ages since I last did anything like that and I haven't kept up with the practice at all.
Given that info, does it matter if the tablet that has had its firmware modified before shipping ? I'll have to format it anyway, right? I just want to make sure.
Also, why isn't there a dedicated Y700 forum ? Trying to find info about this device is a nightmare.
Thanks
It isn't bad, hopefully the fix the pulldown for notifications on the next release. It is ridiculously narrow in landscape mode.I like ZUI 14 a lot. First thing after purchasing new device is to install custom rom, always. But ZUI 14 is brilliant, so i dont feel a need to do so.
Agree, but i dont use it oftenIt isn't bad, hopefully the fix the pulldown for notifications on the next release. It is ridiculously narrow in landscape mode.
I don't hate is as much as you seem to, but why not just roll back to 13?If I would live 4 weeks ago I'd buy the y700 again. Before connecting to WiFi disabling zui update tool. Enjoy zui 13 for the rest of my life. And beyond lol
If you know a way to easily do this. I'll be happy to hear it my friend.I don't hate is as much as you seem to, but why not just roll back to 13?
No.. haven't found anything that worked.Did you ever find out how to relock it? I'm currently in the same spot you were. The option to relock the bootloader is greyed out
Chinese ROM because there is no actual global ROM and your really don't want some reseller installing some random crap, you can just do that yourself when you get it. You can easily switch to english and install Google Play store on chinese ROM.Why Chinese rom and why the annoyance? lol I'm US user so if I do, can I switch it to English?
Haven't heard a peep about a new one, and honestly it is the ONLY 8 inch Android tablet in it's class right now, so not much choice.Hello guys, would u recommend getting this tablet now or should i wait for newer v2 or something releasing in 2023 (actually i dont know if there is any talk about new one or no), TIA
