just flashing via LGUP, but tick on "DL PARTITION" not "UPGRADE".

I tried flashing the h990ds kdz using patched lgup like the instructions in the link, choose DL PARTITION and tick select all partitions. after 100% the cellphone is just like in the video, it doesn't want to enter the os. please help what should i do

I have never seen this before.

try a factory reset and see what happens. How to factory reset the Lgv20

You may want to download a different version of the KDZ file, the one you have may be corrupted. Also try downloading the KDZ file with a different web browser like chrome.

With the phone powered off, hold vol up and plug in the usb cable to computer and phone. Then try flashing the KDZ again.

Can you help me i am stuck at step to install twrp 3.7after i flashed the step 3 twrp and format data successfully but after flash 3.7 twrp i can't boot into factory reset using button combo as everytime i do it, it would boot normally or boot into fastboot if boot into factory reset rather than boot into new twrp

try updating twrp from fastboot mode.

Update twrp link

With the phone off hold vol down plug USB into phone and computer.

Note: twrp.img is your version of twrp image file name

type on your computer:

fastboot flash recovery twrp.img
fastbboot reboot
take battery out
put back in
go into twrp by doing a factory reset. How to factory reset the Lgv20

Hi when rooting the lg v20 do you need to have the sim card install? Or can you do the entire root process without the sim card? Also after rooting and when installing lemon drop, do you need to have the sim card installed in the phone?

I have an H915 model. It was on oreo so I downgraded to 10e to root and get TWRP. I got to the part where fastboot is now working on the phone but when step3.bat runs, the boot image does not get flashed with the error, fastboot: error: Couldn't parse partition size '0x'.
After this, because of step3.bat script the phone reboots and it shows a blue screen with something about lge error. It says I can reboot by holding volume down which I did and then it shows the LG logo then the whole screen goes static. As if the LCD is broken (but really, it's not since everything displays correctly, on logo, fastboot, and the factory reset screen. I read somewhere that the kernel is the reason for this but not sure. When I try a factory reset, it also does not go to the TWRP screen rather, it just boots to stock recovery with the recovery also showing static. My only option is to go back to fastboot or should I reflash stock and try again?

EDIT: Turns out I missed a crucial step on the root guide on the 2nd post. The original root guide explains flashing the WW kernel along with TWRP but I don't need that since I'm not keeping stock. I just let it boot after step3.bat ran fastboot reboot instead of taking the battery out instantly (I missed this part completely. got confused while following the root guide lol) I successfully booted to TWRP, flashed the new one and also my backed up EFS. I'm attempting auto debloat now.

Just an update, Magisk 26.1 does not work with Oreo. If you have updated to v26.1 just uninstall the app and reinstall the latest working version for Oreo. Magisk-v24.3.apk

I am logged in as anonymous and the search does not work in Aurora Store?
Yes it's a known bug, open Auora Store sign in as anonymous, open Chromium browser, do a google search for like "Spotify Lite Play Store". The first link will say in the top left, Google Play. Just click on the link "Spotify Lite". You should get an option to open Aurora Store and set it as the default app. If you get an error "no such app found" or it loads F-droid, then go to settings, do a search for default. Click on Default apps, App links, Aurora Store, click on open supported links, change to ask every time.

If you can not find Chromium in F-Droid and your phone is degoogled, clear data in F-Droid, then update.

I recently bought an LG V20 mainly to listen to music. I'm intrigued to test the "high impedance mode" to see if I have a gain in the sound quality of some of my headphones/iems. I know that the opinion on the subject is very divided but I was wondering if there was a simple way to activate this mode in your rom?

By the way, the rom is pretty fast and the battery efficiency is really impressive.

1.) Copy "/system/etc/mixer_paths_tasha.xml" to your pc for ease of editing.(Keep an original copy to be safe)
2.) Open the copied file in WordPad
3.) Locate the following

No it`s cool, I don't mind answering questions. Yeah I did try the high impedance mod before. It does not make the music sound better just a lot louder. I think it distorts the audio in my opinion, that's why I did not enable it on this rom. I don't have high impedance headphones, and I thought they were getting hot on my ears. So I just thought it would be best not to enable it.
