Bought P2 in June. Part of screen is not working since last 2 days. Suddenly.
check if you have any running overlays on top of your UI
like : roundercorners, or any such kind of overlays, .. disable such overlays and report if any..:highfive:

i used to face this problem on STOCK rom, but in custom rom .. i dont see it anymore

settings -> (search for - Draw over other apps ) - >
once disable the ones which you have doubt on .. or disable all and check if screen is working..
and enable oneby one .. and see what is causing that problem .. :highfive:
Disabled all of them. Still the problem persists. Touch is not working only on the upper middle part of the screen

did you reboot ? if not .. then try once..
is your bootloader unlocked? if yes, try flashing any other ROM..
if problem persists .. then it might be display problem
i cant transfer files from internal to external storage.
whenever i transfer files from one folder to another, after a couple of hours it goes back like the transfer never happened. Also when i try to rename a file in my external storage, that too changes back after a couple of hours.

I rebooted the device. problem still persists. I am on Stock Nougat. Bootloader is locked.mm.. which ROM are you in ??
did you reboot ? if not .. then try once..
is your bootloader unlocked? if yes, try flashing any other ROM..
if problem persists .. then it might be display problem
if your bootloader is locked, please take AMAZON bill, and box .. and then goto lenovo care.. they will see it :angel:
Its hardware limit can't record such low pitch sounds like high bass.
ok, bit of a shame they skimped on the microphone considering how good the loudspeaker is and that the old HTC M7 could make some good recordings of loud sounds.
It looks like some components are a bit of an afterthought, the mic was pretty good on the Moto G4 for instance and poor on the G3, and it was the opposite for the loudspeaker.

Yeah. I have decided to do that since Lenovo Companion App is also showing no response in touches in those areas.

It seems that partial capacitance suddenly dying is becoming more and more common and I'm concerned that it may happen to all P2a42 models eventually.

Submitted it in Lenovo Care. They said they will change the screen for free and fix the issue. Will take 2-3 days. Now I am afraid that if it happens again after 3-4 months
Gyroscope does not work
Today I went to the lenovo companion app to check some stuff. Found out my gyroscope does not work. Just got the phone yesterday. I was already wondering why my stuff would not go horizontal and all games with tilt control spaced out. Anny suggestion?

I'm contacting the seller today to ask them to pay the bill. Bought from a verified lenovo seller with good ratings so I should be fine
i've used this phone for about a month now, and everything seemed to work alright,
however, i found that the GPS accuracy is low. i was in different big cities across Europe and i was trying to navigate through them but getting a decent heading and direction was kind of hard, i had to put in some real effort in getting my exact location, and trying to find my way by exactly looking on physical maps where i was , and just ignoring the google blue dot saying where i am.
it was constantly off bij 10 to 100 meters. i set the GPS accuracy to high, but it somehow did not seem to do anything.
also in car navigation it often stopped and it would just take some extra time to find where i was.
anyone else experiencing this problem?
at that moment i was at the latest official build from lenovo, i now flashed the resurrection rom... see if that goes better
edit: just tested accuracy with 7.1.2 resurection rom, but it does not seem to have fixed the problem.
gnss status is 3d fix, and i can see 7 satellites
in the first few minutes accuracy didn't get higher as 50 meters, now the accuracy is stuck at around 25 meters.
i don't have any baseline information regarding accuracy, but it seems a bit off to me.

Open Google Maps, hit the "blue dot" icon (ie your current position):
