Hi smake,
Can you please provide the links to download to exact match of each software ?
For example: i have china version and i need to put the international rom version. Now, i found almost all the elements except the QPST.WIN.2.7 Installer-00429.zip.

Many thanks and i really appreciate the help you provide to community. Let's hope someone (maybe you) will port and make a proper rom for this device (fantastic for the price otherwise). A donation link will be nice (after the rom is released in the stable version), this way we can pay back a little bit the work.

download and install:
LenovoUsbDriver_autorun_1.0.16.exe
Qualcomm_USB_Drivers_Windows.rar
QPST.WIN.2.7 Installer-00429.zip
and extract the ROM to some folder in your PC

turn off your device, hold down volume up button and connect it to pc
in device manager, in section ports must be "qualcomm hs-usb qdloader 9008 (comsome)"
run qfil, check it the com port is selected, select flat build, select prog_emmc_firehose_8936.mbn in prog path, rawprogram_unsparse.xml and patch0.xml in search path
finally click on download
after reboot copy kingroot to device and install it

ROMs are compatible on both devices. only difference between p1c72 and p1a42 devices are RAM and ROM sizes

NFC did not testet yet, had no reason to use it. But I will test it for you.

NFC works like a charm. I have tested to write via NFC and read it again.
NFC sensor in Vibe P1 seems to be "around camera" or very close to it.

Hello. I have a new Lenovo VIBE P1 chinese edition (3GB Ram and 16GB internal memory).

When arrived was installed a multilingual ROM. Some messages were in chinese, but it works. A message appeared that there was an update for that ROM. I made the update (the mobile made all automatically without connecting to the PC). When the update finished I only had chinese and english, not multilingual, and the playstore dissapeared. If anybody have this same mobile whith multilingual ROM be careful with rom automatic updates, the new ROM don't work well and you loose multilingual.

I tried to install the older ROM using QPST, but sure I do something wrong. Now the mobile phone is bricked without activity. Impossible to open the recovery, it does nothing and the screen is always off, like dead.

Reading some post I tried to unbrick it, but the only thing that I can get is to recognize the mobile in download mode when I plug to the PC with the eMMC download opened or the QFIL. When I try to download a new ROM or recovery nothing works, it says "Switch to EDL fail".

If anybody knows a way to flash a recovery and a ROM to unbrick the mobile, please tell me ideas. I don't know what more I can do. Thanks for your help.

Could someone who has rooted their Vibe P1, confirm if Data Toggle works on it?
Apps like Deepsleep Battery Saver or Auto 3G, have a feature to toggle data and connect to internet periodically. They do not work on my non rooted version.

No, my P1 is P1c72. But i flashed rom of P1a42 for it. It works well for me.

There is a root strategy available on kingroot for officially updated devices(p1a42 2gb ram)... But when tried to root it failed....
Was anyone able to root by this strategy??
