With 32GB of internal storage [non Chinese version], I think it's not a must have feature, IMHO. But if you still insist, have you tried changing the default disk for writing to SD card in storage settings?

My P1 is Pc72. I root is by kingroot apk (version 2.6.2, it's name NewKingrootV4.6.2_appsapkfile.com.apk). After root, it hasn't got supersu. Then, i use root explorer to delete all chinese apps.

which apps did you installed instead of chinese dialer,contacts,messaging,calendar ? was you able to remove app "securitit" ? which app did you use instead of it ?

I don't delete these apps because they are in English. Lenovo security apk is located in system/priv-app. You can delete it, but you need to backup it before deleting.
Notice! If you update to new version of rom, you can't root it again, and new rom are only chinese and english (no multilangual).

I know! You can use textra sms from google play. It's good sms apk for P1. I have ni idea to change contact and dialler apps.

really i'm afraid to buy this phone because there is no support and no custom rom yet
i found a P1C72_V2.8_1536 in Tinydeal for 260 USD 3GB RAM and multilanguage, but i'm hesitating.
what about your expérience with it? is it really 5000mah battery? many users said that it can last one and half day wich is not enough for me.

It is 2gb ram Indian version with 32gb rom.
It is multilanguage..
Yeah no custom rom yet, at least i couldn't find one...
No root method yet...
It has 5000mah battery that lasts upto 2 days on normal uses...

Hello. I have a new Lenovo VIBE P1 chinese edition (3GB Ram and 16GB internal memory).

When arrived was installed a multilingual ROM. Some messages were in chinese, but it works. A message appeared that there was an update for that ROM. I made the update (the mobile made all automatically without connecting to the PC). When the update finished I only had chinese and english, not multilingual, and the playstore dissapeared. If anybody have this same mobile whith multilingual ROM be careful with rom automatic updates, the new ROM don't work well and you loose multilingual.

I tried to install the older ROM using QPST, but sure I do something wrong. Now the mobile phone is bricked without activity. Impossible to open the recovery, it does nothing and the screen is always off, like dead.

Reading some post I tried to unbrick it, but the only thing that I can get is to recognize the mobile in download mode when I plug to the PC with the eMMC download opened or the QFIL. When I try to download a new ROM or recovery nothing works, it says "Switch to EDL fail".

If anybody knows a way to flash a recovery and a ROM to unbrick the mobile, please tell me ideas. I don't know what more I can do. Thanks for your help.

i too bricked my 3gb ram vibe p1 and you can follow the steps which worked for me ( with your own risk )

you can unbrick your chinese p1c72 phone by

1. connecting your phone in download mode ( remove memory card first for precautionary measures )
2. on your windows system go into disk management by right clicking on to my computer/manage
3. your phone will detect the corrupt internal memory of your vibe p1.
4. no choice but you got to format the phone so you can unbrick your phone and - - - end up losing all your internal memory data.
5. unplug your phone and again go back to download mode
6. download a) miflash https://www.mediafire.com/?ulcg4fa6ypbpit7( yes xiomie flash tool ) b) the firmware file for vibe p1. https://yadi.sk/d/7m6hyNzdjiUHg
7. open miflash and click refresh so your com port can be detected
8. click browse file on left corner of miflash and then chose the unziped folder of row that yo have downloaded and simply click flash and wait for the flashing to complete.
9. restart the phone and you will get the lenovo boot menu and wait for 10mints for completing the installation process.

hope it helps as it did work for me after a lot or googling and testing

This device uses Snapdragon 615 chipset which is cmpatible with Qualcom Quick Charger 2.0. But I was not able to find info that really I can use this Qualcom Quick Charger 2.0 to charge my device. Lenovo calls it Rocket Charger, but I can't find tech specs and difference with Qualcom Quick charge. Does anyone knows can I buy Qualcom Quick Charger 2.0 and use it for charging my device (P1a42)? I want to buy BlitzWolf car Qualcom QuickCharger because I spend a lot of time in my car and use navigation on my phone so battery drains quite quick. I tried to use regular charger but it is not strong enough to keep battery level and not to mention to charge it. Maybe battery is draining slower (when using regular car charger) but most certainly it is not charging.
