Hi!
I want buy this phone but I don't understand if exist an official firmware in multilaguages with Italian, google apps and if there are the OTA upadtes? I've seen one kind at "needrom" but there are some discordants comments about it...... Can someone tell me if I can buy it here in Italy/europe without problem??? Thanks!
Hi,
I've one of that phones (P1c72 with P1a42 firmware) and at the moment I survive using English language/locale. But it's a question of time: it's sure that Lenovo will start sell Vibe phones in western Europe starting on 2016-Q2 (probably April). So western EU languages (Italian, German, Dutch,... ) must appear somehow before that period. It's not clear to me if they will sell P1a42 or yet another version here (but, as modify software is easier than change hardware, I hope they will just add languages to P1a42; unless they want to add LTE 800 MHz frequency too. Will see) ...

No ota update. I bought the rom at etotalk.com for a few of dollars.
1539 5.503.1. St P1c72
I've tried too, as well as others that included Italian and google play, but it contains English leftovers and personally I definitively want OTA updates. In addition, P1a42 rom interface looks a little bit better to me. I've to admit that I never needed NFC nor GMAIL (I use TypeApp), so I do not care if the first just doesn't work and the second should not be updated.

You have to buy phone where is installed :(

Odesláno z mého Lenovo P1a42
Not really: you can buy the ROM itself for 9.59 EUR. On their site just search for , e.g.: "lenovo p1 rom". In one day or two you'll get download and install instructions via e-mail.
Are you sure that it's rooted? I replaced it before verify that point :(
