The rooted firmware works like a charm. Everything is nice. but one cons is we have to revert back to version 140 instead of 147.

Actually i was on p1a42, I need to install the rooted firmware. can we come back to stock firmware of p1a42 147 ? if possible.

yes i am having p1a42 and installed the rooted firmware. we can go back to 147 if needed.

we have to revert back to version 147 by installing the stock firmware using QFIL.

the new update seems to be able to be rooted with kingroot app. it is trying to root the phone as i am typing. will update progress

Edit: Seems not able to although it was trying to

No visible changes after the update. But I feel RAM management is much better after the update.

Can i make the UI look like the stock android? Launcher and icons? I already installed Google Now Launcher, but a bunch of icons stay the same. And i cannot uninstall theme center. It really annoys me as a former Nexus user.

Follow these steps.

1. Switch to stock launcher.
2. Long tap on the home screen
3. Select 'Preferences'
4. Select 'Default Launcher'
5. Pick 'Android' instead of 'Vibe'

You should get Stock Android UI
