Custom recovery

Guys, any custom recovery like TWRP is there for our lenovo vibe p1 or not yet?

Which xposed will work on our vibe p1 ? there are many variants of v8 available for download in xposed thread.

which one is meant for us. And how did you install it because if am not wrong we have to flash the zip from custom recovery and there is no custom recovery present for vibe p1a42.

Does exist one Rom with Italian language or not with ota?

No ROM with Italian ( also no: German, Polish languages )
You may: flash rooted ROM use morelocale2.apk and switch to Italian. At last apps will be in your language.

Strange problem...

Guys, Yesterday i bought my new P1a42 and i updated it to latest firmware update from system update. Then i restored contacts from my old backup (from kitkat). I was not able to restore my sms due to format incompatibility.
1. How can i restore my sms backup.
2. Strangely few of my contacts are duplicated. E.g. If i had a contact named Mr. A with no 0123.. now in new contacts list it appears as Mr. A with multiple nos. all the nos are 0123.. i mean same number is displayed multiple times ( 2-4 times in few contacts). What could be the reason for it. I was not able to edit it also. When i try to edit it only shows the no. once and rest all entries are read only.

Please advice....

I suggest you to reset the phone and do initial config once more.

I have a few questions about Lenovo Vibe P1a42 (Indian Version):
1. How to Access Recovery Mode, Bootloader Mode & Fastboot Mode (Button Combination i.e. Volume Buttons & Power Button)?
2. Is the Bootloader Locked or Unlocked by Default?
3. If the Bootloader is Locked, can it be Unlocked by using the "fastboot oem unlock" Command in ADB Fastboot?
4. Are the Stock Recovery of All Lenovo Smartphones (running 64-bit OS) the Same?
5. Will Warranty be Void by Just Accessing the Fastboot Mode via "adb reboot-bootloader" Command in ADB Fastboot?
6. Is there anyway to Backup the Stock Recovery & Stock ROM of Vibe P1 without Rooting or Unlocking Its Bootloader?

Thanks but I tried something else before reading your reply and it worked.

I used desktop software to search for duplicate contacts and merge them. It seems whatsapp is creating Problems. Whatsapp contacts get duplicated. I disabled show other contacts and contact sync with Gmail.

I guess you have same which I have.

1. Am not developer so can't tell all answers but.
a) you need not worry about stock rom and recovery backup. Stock rom flushable with qfil is already available. You can download it. Recovery.img is also present there. Flashing procedure is also posted here in forum. Only problem is the rom is old version so after flashing you will have to re update to latest version from system update.
b) all these things are already posted in this forum in older posts somewhere I had read.

Guys.... I am on latest p1a42 rom. I need help... I am not able to cast screen on WiFi display.... What could be the problem? Other mobile is connecting so am sure there is nothing wrong with the display...
I have tried to cast screen on two different WiFi enabled display but no joy. Please advice

Shut down completely then press and hold both volume keys and now press power key till phone vibrates. Now release all keys and wait. This worked for me...

Step 1:

Turn off

Step 2:

Now press VOL UP BUTTON and VOL DOWN BUTTON and POWER Button, When you see Lenovo logo in mobile screen release only POWER BUTTON.

Step 3:

When you see System recovery mode menu release all BUTTON.

I have purchased Lenovo vibe P1 few days back and on first boot I have updated it to latest firmware from system update.

I have been able to connect to my WiFi network and access internet without any problem. Also I am able to connect to other Smartphone using Wi-Fi through app like Xender.

However, I am not able to use cast screen option (wireless display). Whenever I try to connect available wireless display I get it in list of available displays but I am not able to connect to it. The message saying "connecting... " is indicated on both TV and Vibe but nothing happens thereafter. I have tested with multiple configurations but every time only my vibe is not able to cast screen other mobiles are able to cast screen. Also I changed over the wireless display device. It seems there is some bug in cast screen option in latest firmware of vibe P1.

One more thing to note is if we go to WLAN Direct settings then there also available WiFi direct network are indicated. If I send invite to any available device then invited is indicated however invitation never appears on other device. But if invitation to vibe is sent from other devices then invitation appears on screen of vibe P1 but later on status hangs and nothing happens further. Status is stuck at invited on both the devices and a connection is never established.

Please help. Is this happening only with my P1 or others also facing similar problem.

Should I go for this phone or I'll get better with that money ? any sort of honest review would be appreciated. Battery life is my main concern.. due to poor battery.. I need to keep my phone on sleep most of the time.
