Lenovo Vibe P1

I have been able to extract boot system as well as other stock .img files from firmware...I am trying to root this device and also create custom rom...if any developer is interested we can collaborate .

I am unable to go into download mode.. once i get into download mode..Root will be achieved hopefully.

Have been using it for two weeks... No heating at all... Phone is smooth... pretty responsive.... The battery performance is awesome...

going through that process does not start download mode... it is not mounting to linux . Is there any other way ? ....even going through adb mode is just making the phone to restart but not going into download mode.

friend, you can give a try of the methods defined for Micromax Yu Yurekaplus because Vibe p1 and Yurekaplus is having the same processor. Already we have methods to root Yurekaplus. Go to Yurekaplus forums and see the method. You may get some idea. thank you.

- press 2 bottoms together, volume down and power, in some seconds.

friend, you can give a try of the methods defined for Micromax Yu Yurekaplus because Vibe p1 and Yurekaplus is having the same processor. Already we have methods to root Yurekaplus. Go to Yurekaplus forums and see the method. You may get some idea. thank you.

as far as i understand, i dont think we can use the similar recovery or root method.. Android 5.1.1 has patched out many exploits so i think rooting it might be a tough cookie to handle.. Still i m trying what i can .

still no forum has been established for your device. U can search for any custom roms on google . As far as i know, this device is still much younger and not much Rom Cooking has taken place. So wait untill some one builds or ports .

Building the new rom or porting them will take days...... i even have the source code of this device... maybe if the thing i am trying fails then i will start porting. fingers crossed ......And about root...u have no idea how much i want it too...

Is anyone facing any issues with the latest update? I have a few issues, i am not sure if it is the phone or the update since I just got the phone a couple of days back.
I updated 2 updates. Both about 30 MB in size.
My current build # is P1a42_S140_151111_ROW.

1.. Fingerprint registers and works for a short period, after a while it fails to recognize. The fingerprint app/service seems to be dead. To make it respond/work, i had to remove and re-add both the fingerprints. It then works for a short while again and then stops again.
2. Battery seems to be draining pretty quick. I expected 2 days with heavy use. But, I get about 1 day with 20-30% remaining. I expected this to have 50-60% remaining.

It's fault! You can't use them for rooting lenovo p1 pro.

backup all your data, and try factory reset... it happens .....usually factory reset solves such problems.
