It will work, yes , but you cannot root it.

"Download Fail:FireHose Fail Fail to find QDLoader port after switch" and now the phone cannot boot Help me please, I have turned off but if I try to boot remain with the "Lenovo" screen forever (((

I have retried and It cannot be able to reset when at the end write "Waiting for reset done..."

I have erases data in recovery and now works with the P1A42 ROM! thanks! now I can update with OTA?

It is not necessary to root the device.
You can disable all the bloatware from it.

Root is needed for other stuff..
Like AdBlock, full support of AutomateIt, etc.
Bloatware can be easily uninstalled after first run.

I have downloaded this rom but I can't flash it with QFIL , maybe now kingroot works on p1c72 with p1a42_ROM too?

download and install:
LenovoUsbDriver_autorun_1.0.16.exe
Qualcomm_USB_Drivers_Windows.rar
QPST.WIN.2.7 Installer-00429.zip
and extract the ROM to some folder in your PC

turn off your device, hold down volume up button and connect it to pc
in device manager, in section ports must be "qualcomm hs-usb qdloader 9008 (comsome)"
run qfil, check it the com port is selected, select flat build, select prog_emmc_firehose_8936.mbn in prog path, rawprogram_unsparse.xml and patch0.xml in search path
finally click on download
after reboot copy kingroot to device and install it

ROMs are compatible on both devices. only difference between p1c72 and p1a42 devices are RAM and ROM sizes
