to anyone interested here is the reason why read/write of SuperSu fails when trying to install SuperSu in systemless mode.
https://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=70492947&postcount=8793

So my guess was right. It is because /data is formatted as f2fs and the kernel is missing
Code:
+	.read = new_sync_read,
+	.write = new_sync_write,
i can fix it for the TWRP kernel. No problem.
BUT
once booted into the system. The kernel is a different one (from stock ROM).
I doubt Lenovo will fix that issue ever!

So if you want systemless SuperSu and be able to receive OTA's.
A: You will have to convert /data to ext4 to make it work.
B: Wait for a custom kernel for the Lenovo P2. Which works with the stock ROM.

Hi there,

i have a question:

I recently bought the Lenovo P2 and the compilation number is:
P2a42_S033_161122_TMO

Which is strange because I bought it in "normal" shop, not T-Mobile agent (TMO - is T-Mobile and I even had few apps from them installed, but besides that it was "all clear" so I kept it) - will this affect my future updates arrival? So far system says that I have the most recent version, But I read here about S048 version... If I am in fact stuck with T-Mobile then I want to ask if there is a possibility to install "global" rom with locked bootloader and if yes - how to do it and finally: will it void my warranty?

Look at the TWRP post in post #3.
I posted a link to the S048 stock ROM.
Try installing that over the TMO Version.
In theory it should work. Installing the stock ROM will not void warranty.

Thank you - and if just in case I would like to follow number one IT-book rule and create a full back up - how can I do it? :)

BTW - good news, I erd on Russian forum that the closed beta for android N already started ;)
No need to and you probably won't be able to unlock your bootloader on that old firmware version.

Like I stated in the post clearly:
"One exception would be if you want to upgrade from an Old Firmware and you simply do not receive any OTA update files.
In that case you want to run a complete upgrade by running the
