I've noticed that auto-brightness is slower and inaccurate. Many times in low or no light situation I need to increase the brightness manually. This did not happen with version 13.
I also noticed that in standby the battery drains a little faster.

I recently updated and everything seems fine for me. I had to re-enable Google Play Services and I don't miss PC Mode, but it was a nice feature. I didn't use it since the UI wasn't scalable.

Does anyone know how to remove recent apps from the dock? My most used apps are already in the dock so often times there are just doubles of the same icon. Not useful for me and it's an eyesore.
This is annoying me too, i have not found a way to disable the recent app notification...

I tried ZUI 14, updated day before yesterday here are my observations :

  • Don't like the new taskbar/notification drop down bars, its oversized and awkward, its like they tried to copy MIUI, but badly.
  • My screen seems a little less bright ?
  • Battery seems to drain a little faster.
  • System feels sluggish at times. ( it Never felt like that on ZUI13 )
  • They've added pop out bars on left and right of the screen and enabled them by default, WHY ??? its super annoying and im not sure where to turn it off. im in a game and if i swipe i get these unwanted bars popping out of nowhere...
  • PC mode is gone ( yes there is an app now to turn it back on, but it was nice to have it in the taskbar ).
  • the RECENT bar at the bottom that displays recently used apps is SUPER DAMN ANNOYING and i dont see a way to turn it off or remove the bar.
  • I'm having touch issues with ZUI14, sometimes when i boot up everything works fine, other times the touch seems to glitch, like its detecting multiple touches at the same time or something, only way to fix is to reboot. ( THIS ONE IS A DEAL BREAKER FOR ME )
Decided to go back to ZUI13.

Flashed the original ZUI 12 rom and then just applied updates to the last ZUI 13 patch ( "13.1.560" ) just before 14, then turned off automatic updates. I Feel better now that i have tried 14, hated it and switched back to 13. now at least i dont have to wonder if 13 is better, i now know it is :D

14 may get better in time, but it is still new and clearly has many bugs...

How did you downgrade Zui14 to Zui13?

I confirm that #168 solves the Play Store/Google Services issue. After installing the Play Store, Google Services and Google Framework, deleting the apps' data, and rebooting, I could again access the store.

My google play services are running fine (login, youtube, chrome, gmail..) but my in-app purchases doesn't show and I can't buy anything inside any games or apps. It shows something like "google play billing unavailable". Anyone is facing that problem too? I can't use Infinite Painter (for my job) because my lifetime subscription is gone after zui14

That is correct; in-app purchases are not working in my case either. Does anyone know how to solve this?

Please share your way to launch google play
    Download this and install https://www.apkmirror.com/.../google-play.../download/...
    Afterward
    - Go to settings, click on the search box, type goog p, select Google play service in the search results, delete all data and cache in it.
    - Go to settings, google, log in, it will spin for a while. And not login, let it run to the end
    - Go to settings, app management, 3 dots button on the right,
select google basic service, turn it off,
    - go back to google play service by typing google p in the search box of settings, delete all data, and delete all updates by pressing the three dots button on the right.
    - Go back to turn on google basic service,

Thanks for the answer, but it did not help me (link is broken)
The issue was resolved as follows:
Went to settings, then apps. Click on the three dots at the top. There I chose google basic services. Turned off the switch. Tried launching chrome and logging in. There was a request to enable Google services. Then I went to the application settings and turned on google basic services. After that, I was successfully allowed into the account.

I took this chance to try ZUI 14, however there were definitely a lot of issues I've encountered.

It wasn't able to root, wi-fi gets broken, and other issues that were already mentioned here. [1](The Google Account issue that was mentioned here didn't happen to me, I got it first try.) I actually got TWRP to install in ZUI 14 (credit goes to @Ungeskriptet) however it had issues mounting the system partitions. This was the same issue that happened on Android 12-based GSIs on this tablet.

Though I'm actually curious that the update moved the whole OS to Slot B instead of staying in Slot A. The boot logo also changed to Qualcomm's logo instead of the usual Lenovo logo, as well as the unlocked bootloader message not showing up after.

There were two new bootloader options too, one being booting into FFBM mode.

In conclusion, stay away from this specific ZUI 14 update for now until there is news of a more stable update.

[1] I might have been lucky the first try I installed ZUI 14. Now on other reinstalls, they don't seem to work now.

Hmm is it worth losing PC mode on on the latest update? I'm sure it's still in there since it activates when using an external display but hopefully there is a solution (like an app perhaps?) that lets you switch to PC mode just like the Xiaomi Mi Pad
