Hi, yeah since my phone goes straight to bootloop after flashing 075 its actually impossible to restore the QCN file. Any tips?
Bootloop? Does it reboot all the time or does it boot to the bootloader?

Can you power it down? If yes can you try to hold vol- when powering it on to see if you can get to the bootloader?

Na, just loops. Lenovo logo for a while, then looop.

---------- Post added at 12:44 PM ---------- Previous post was at 12:40 PM ----------

I've flashed this phone like 411 times, it has NEVER booted to any bootloader after a flash. It always goes to bootloop when done flashing, but it's not a problem to flash Pie or so after that, it's just that I need my IMEI restored, like that's the only problem. Everything else runs smooth when I have Pie running. Except I cant make calls or use data. Which sucks

This way you can restore the imei in pie

Your phone must be rooted.
Enable USB Debugging.
Connect device to computer.
Open Minimal ADB and Fastboot command prompt.
Type adb devices → enter.
adb shell → enter.
su → enter.
setprop sys.usb.config diag,adb → enter.

Then u can restore qcn with qfil

Cheers

Flashing persist

@sth0r
By flashing persist I read in another thread you will loose your original Mac address and if someone is using the same persist image you will have troubles connecting to WiFi is this true?
I have this activation issue
Pressed erase all before download and suspect its wiped imei as its slow on the activation and I cannot get any network or WiFi

https://forum.xda-developers.com/mi-a1/how-to/tool-persist-resurrector-v1-0-0-0-t3781095
That's the thread , he has a tool called persist resurrector not sure if this can be used to retain the Mac from factory forgive me if I'm wrong I'm still just learning as I've hit this problem

Update!
I have flashed to 075 it went straight into diag and then restored the qcn I now have 4g and was able to get past the activation screen thanks! It took about 15mins as mentioned of being slow and then it worked!
WiFi is not working & I have no Mac address, I'll try flashing the persist image tomorrow

Update x2!!
Tonight I flashed your persist360.IMG using abd (after I read how to correctly install the drivers) and did

Fastboot erase persist
Fastboot flash persist C:\persist.img

I renamed your file and placed it in c:\ for ease
It worked!! It brought back my sensors and WiFi!!!
Thankyou! Without this thread I would have never have done it!
Imei restored
Sensors restored
WiFi restored
Excellent thankyou!!

It seems the address is wrong

Hi bro, after following you steps, i restart my phone and type '*#06#‘ to check out, but some go wrong...
there are 3 code in my Z5, they are MEID & IMEI1 & IMEI2, those address(those Hex code) point to the MEID and IMEI1 , but not IMEI1 and IMEI2.:crying:

I want to know the address of IMEI2 and how to restore my MEID (There are only IMEI code on the box of my Phone... )

MEID is normaly just the imei without the last digit.

Does the process fail?
What model number does your phone have?
What does it write when you do *#06#? Is it displaying imei1 and not imei2?
I need some details to be able to help you.

All process seems ok without error
By the way I am a chinese and of course the phone is bought in china, the Model number is " Lenovo L78011 " (I may need a QCN backup file of same model:p)
Here you go the screenshot of my phone, as you see, the MEID number is my IMEI1 and the IMEM2 is my IMEI2 in fact:confused:

So i need to get the location of IMEI2
(I am curious how did u get the offset/location/Hex code of IMEI code in QCN)

By the way, the MEID seems starts with 99 (no matter my 1+ 3T or my friend's Xiaomi 6)
but IMEI is starts wich 88, i don't know if it can work well without MEID _:)з」∠)_

The qcn is a backup of my own L78011 where i replased my imeis with the values you should find and replase with your imeis.

Is your phone on stock rom (075) when you are restoreing the qcn or on your custom rom.

What custom rom is on the phone now?

It is 075 now same with you.

The error of losing IMEI is due to my mistake: I check the value in my QFIL called 'Erase All Before Download' by mistake , as you see in the following image:

And then after that I notice the error in my TWRP: 'failed to mount /persist(invalid argument)', after searching google, i flash my persist.img into the persist partition (As i notice there is only the 4.0.390 has this image). After that I notice the mobile network is still not work and tells me 'no service'. Then as you know, I find out that I've lost my IMEI.

It's strange why your qcn is different from mine:confused:
By the way, instead of the way you provided in the passage, i googled and used "adb shell" to get into the diagnose mode

Hi bro Sthor.
Please help me to solve my Z5, not rooted.
- i flash 1 boot img file by chance ==> my phone go to bootloop. bootloop around 5 times and go to bootloader.
- Trying to flash back to stock rom 075 ==> my phone go to bootloop. bootloop around 5 times and go to bootloader.
- Tried to install recovey and flash Pie 9 ==> Everything goes smoothly. But no Wifi, no sim card detected, no Imei. ==> flash the boot img from stock rom 075 ==> wifi appeared, sim card can detect, but no signal and cannot call, no imei.
Trying to do these steps :
Type adb devices → enter.
adb shell → enter.
su → enter.
setprop sys.usb.config diag,adb → enter.
Then u can restore qcn with qfil
But it says: Restore QCN Fail:Restore QCN FailUnable to load DLL 'QMSL_MSVC10R.dll': The specified module could not be found. (Exception from HRESULT: 0x8007007E)

Please anyone can help. Thanks in adv.

Try a different pc.
Thanks sthor. I successful restored my IMEI via my friends laptop.
I don't know se things from my Z5:
1) i cannot use
Fastboot flash recovery twrp.img to install twrp. I must use:
Fastboot flash boot twrp.img. to install it.
2) after finishing flash android pie 9, there is no wifi. I must go to fastboot again and flash file stock boot.img by the cmd: Fastboot flash boot boot.img and reboot. Wifi issue fixed.
But this will also remove the recovery again. If i need to enter recovery, i must flash twrp again by the cmd above. Reall mess.

Anyway, my phone now works perfectly on android pie 9. Just need time to adjust the notch and led.

Many thanks.
