I would really like to know how a custom ROM works with the missing DRM functionality, is there anyway to get the lost functionality back when using this ROM? Things like the camera being poor in low light? Thank you for all your efforts!

No.... Well not at the moment anyway... Not whilst running a custom rom.... Those improvements are all software based and built into sony FW and thus are lost when you move off a sony rom....

There has been some work to restore the functionality if you have lost your drm keys.... But once again you need to be running a sony FW

Hey there,

Just wanted to say this rom is working amazingly on my new z3.

The only 2 things I've noticed are that the touch to wake sometimes stops working and the nfc reader stops working. I'm hoping this has nothing to do with my tasker profiles and will be fixed soon :)

Definitely happy using it as my everyday rom. Haven't used anything else since flashing it.

Also, as you guys know when you unlock the bootloader the camera app goes to ****. But as it's based on software is there a downloadable app you can get that brings good low light functionality?

Or would the cm12 app be sufficient once fixed?

And that reminds me, the camera button doesnt load the camera as well.

I habe the same problem. I read somewhere that the installer-script fetches for the wrong version number and you have manualy edit it. But I did and nothing changed. Does anybody have an idea? Or is there a newer version of the CM12.1 Rom?

go to this directory
cm-12.1--NIGHTLY-z3.zip\META-INF\com\google\android
here you will find a file named updater-script. Open this file in notepad.
Here you need to edit and insert your model no. Like D6653.
For the editing part you can simply replace a certain device code with your one.
Hope this helps.

I did exacly this. And then zip the folder again? I used Winrar and compression method: best, but the file was still 600MB not 300MB like the original. I also tried compression method "none" but the file is not flashable. After the adjustment the only thing different is, that there is no explicit error message.
Should i try edditing the ro.build.product with an build.prop editor?

EDIT: Someone in a german Forum gave me this advice: Manually flash the boot.img an flash cm via this recovery and everything works. Hofe i could help a few with the same problem
