Similar problem on low-light (used night portrait scene, night scene, normal, all with flash).

Cleaned the lens, flash etc. Seems like the flash is placed a little bit too close to the lens.
you have the same issue so its just not me. I really don't know if it is the flash being so close I took a few shots with flash on and they were perfect it wasn't till a few days later that it started to happen.

The smoke truth is, the low light performance of the Z is only decent when you use night portrait in scenes. Try that and see if the quality improves.
Also I really don't know where all this talk of bust mode pictures being better comes from. For me they're are absolutely horrible. Noisy as hell and just unusable.
The only problem with the Zs camera is under low light, it's much improved if you use night portrait as I said but that's the only weakness I've found. In good light it smashes everything I've compared it to so far. IPhone 4S and 5 don't compare and my friends GS3 is no where close.
The Zs camera gets a bad rep because the Z gets a bad rep from the tech blogs. Sony is an outsider and I doubt they've greased many palms.

This is not true.

Night portrait is very average. Manually setting the ISO in "normal" mode produces the best results at night IMHO, as per the other thread about the camera.

"superior auto" is the devil.

And there is a very clear difference between burst mode and auto mode pics, have a look at the examples in the thread about that.

I think its better if all just wrote what they think of the camera, just DEMAND an update because we know its a software issue and probebly a compression issue...hardware is capable of very good photos but its the software... So Email them you are disapointed with the camera and demand an update!

People facing issues with pinkish blue captured shots in dark room, is the flash completely visible at the back, or it is covered.

The flash is covered by a anti shatter film from Sony

what ? You're kidding right ?....... Nope.... you're not... I'm no Pro Fotographer and i have nearly no knowledge of flashes.... but why do all cameras have rilled flasheds ? Even the Xz camera has a special lens to scatter(?) the light. so what does the AntiShatter film do ?

I did a chat with sony support and they said they are looking in to the matter but "don't know when/how the issue will be solved"

The how part made me worried they don't know how to fix it....

I tried an android camera app call camera360, It takes really good picture(from my point of view). Maybe you guys can try it. Oh the images will be really big, I get over 10 MB on each picture.

Yep you're right. Way better pics. Although I'm not getting 10MB pics but hitting 7MB at least. Much clearer pics, better then BURST mode

7Mb image? When? :) I have in normal mode 1,3-1,7 MB. Quality similar to stock app. Wishful thinking.
