When you add supports what's changing per say. Is it mostly just mount points and partitions for the updater script ...

Yeah somebody told me about that as well. The recovery.log after the flash looked normal.

Please check your logcat upon reboot as well.

Just paste it at pastebin.org and take out the http part in URL.

By the way, I did a comparison of the original boot.img and the new boot.img through the kitchen, and the ramdisk size is wrong. See attachment. I will look into it later, I'm busy right now.

So that can be the error?

Yes, Google may have updated the boot.img creation code in the Android 4.2 source code, or it is a bug in the kitchen. A workaround would be to replace the boot.img in your ROM zip with the stock boot.img. I will investigate later this weekend.

Actually I am wrong with blaming the ramdisk size. It has been a long, long time since I've done anything with kernel/boot.img modification LOL. You could be adding files to the ramdisk folders when modifying the boot.img, and it would grow in size, which is fine.

The main thing is that the kernel and ramdisk load addresses are the same as before. Otherwise we would have real problems.

I would request someone to test by using the stock boot.img in the ROM to make sure it's not an issue with the modified boot.img.

Okay if you say it's good enough, then I might try it myself, although I told myself I would not root or hack my phone this time :)
