just an idea but including that they are actually in GPL violation in the petition would be useful.

I'll add more info tomorrow (limited to one update per day). I was not able to switch back and forth on the apps to get everything pertinent in there.

I think you should mention Nex specifically, so they atleast release sourcecode for this device if not for all..

"Joe" has no idea what's going on. Why wouldn't they have plans for their flagship device to get Android P? He's not forwarding anything to anyone. Joe gave me conflicting answers one saying no plans to release the source code and the follow up reply said something about it's still under consideration.
Are Joe and Jovi both AI? This could be why Joe is scripted sounding...

This smartphone with a stock android rom/ Lineage based would be so perfect ... That's a crime to make a so good smartphone with a so bad rom...
Unfortunately it still doesn't list for which phone the kernel sources are being requested.

I could see that developer option allows the bootloader to be unlocked, so unlocking bootloader should not be a problem
just because it's in the developer option's doesn't help much. the actual bootloader needs to support it.
for example. oppo (also an BBK company) has the same option but the fastboot binarys from aboot has been completely removed.
reboot into the bootloader and run "fastboot getvar unlocked" will check the status. of the bootloader.

Earlier I had emailed the [email protected] team , but got a similar scripted response. Why would Vivo not release the code and encourage Android development ?
Anyways the Users that Mod their devices have Void their warranty and Vivo has no obligation to support those devices , Hence there is no question of Stability being one of the reasons to not release the source code.
Is it a strategy to promote OnePlus indirectly ?
