I was not having any issues with GPS in the beginning. It was only after I tweaked build.prop that issues started to surfaced.
I think it does affect your phone if you keep restoring via TB. The best experience is always to do clean install, but most of us don't have that luxury, right?
Agreed.
What I will do is, wait for 9S (as 8S seems a bit buggy) and then do a full wipe and clean install...install nothing back from TB and see how the GPS is. So now just a matter of waiting for 9S which I assume should be out sometime near the end of the month or early January.

Given their scheduled commitment, we can expect a stable version once a month, and an experimental version every week on Wednesday. So 09S should be out around X'mas...

Don't get me wrong, I adore my x800+, but coming from Oneplus One, I expected more from the ROM. I guess I should be more content, and wait for MrRusch to work his magic... Good luck, mate!

After 1 week with 08S, my finding is that GPS is very slow, or not locking in the signal at all. Even after using Fasterfix to change the servers to reflect my region, it's still not working correctly. I think the feedbacks from the [email protected] forumers are the same. Well, let's hope 09 or 35E will be better.

Hi

I have problems with 4g.
I purchased my phone from aliexpress and received it with version 3s stable google and play store pre-installed but 4g wasn't working.
I have tried several other roms now including the Official 6S, 8S but 4g still doesn't work. I,m in uk and have a micro Voda UK sim in the 2nd slot. I bought a 3 UK sim today to try if the phone would support the 4g on that. No luck again.
Does anyone using this phone in the UK and has 4g working? It is a very nice and powerful phone I do like the look of it. It has a big potential but unfortunately its chinese and made for their market. I,m getting to the point to give up and just get rid of it.
Any suggestion or help will be appreciated.

I'm on 3 and no issues with 4g have you tried the other sim slot to see if that works? Also check in mobile networks and that 4g recommend is selected

Hi, Thanks for the reply, I have the UK 3 nano sim in slot 1 and the UK voda micro in slot 2 and both shows 3g. The preferred network type is 4g.
I have done a backup before I started playing with the official firmware so now Im back on cuoco's rom.
I have 4g on both sims cause my prev phone is an asus zenfone 2 and that jumps on 4g right after its booted up on both sims.
Could it be a faulty phone? or something locked down by the software?

Edit:
I think I found the answer. Under network operators I found 3 4g which is working now. So the phone is not faulty however my main sim is Vodafone and when I tried the same I found only Voda 2g and 3g available.
Conclusion.. this phone does not support Voda UK 4g I hope this information will help someone before the purchase cause I couldn't find any info about this.

Thanks for trying to help me. I have done what you suggested but voda 4g still doesn't work. I may look into change my service provider for the future.

Next time use willmyphonework.net
The X800 doesn't cover the bands that your carrier uses, also you should not try and mess with the bands that your phone can use, it is illegal.

Anything yet with the Nexus rom? :)

The patch for improved stability - WiFi

Due to the rather frequent complaints of users on the WiFi, official firmware user under the name 泪倾城__363 from the Chinese forums has posted this fix (all the credits to him!)
Just flash thru recovery for this, and it does work! Normally I get 1 bar or 2 bars signal strength, now it's consistently 3 bars and above!

Again, the disclaimers - I am not responsible if you screw this up, make a backup if you want extra security...

Do you have more information as to what versions problem this fixes? What does it do exactly?

Yes I will cook for new 9S base now.

I also see there has been a 37E version, but this one seems to have been removed from LeTV download site. So I reckon it may be best to skip this one and just go for 36E which is still there.

You don't say... From the changelog, there is a ****load of changes/improvements. Maybe it's a placebo version? Anyhow, I am just wondering on when are they going to release the Marshmallow version for the x800...

Nah it was human error this time. There seems to be changes indeed :p Uploading.

EDIT: Added 09S and 36E in OP. Happy 2016!

09S and 36E both contain a new package called PowerController. 36E also includes LightCamera, whatever this is :)
It actually seems like they have fixed some of the previous problems in 09S! For example World Clock no longer crashes and SIM Toolkit and Power on & off settings seem to be stable now.
