i just see them as the cheap versions of the g4.
the stylus seems cool though
Agreed but for those that can't afford the G4 this may be a decent alternative. I myself would prefer to just wait and save my money for the high-end version or until it becomes cheaper (that's what I did for the G3).

Interesting nevertheless. I am failing to understand a few points (besides obviously making up for the inferior features to the G4)

Why the Stylus version? If at all I can see the G4c but the stylus version is doing everything wrong.

Would be nice if LG would make a version of the G4 with a larger screen AND the same hardware inside lol.

The specs on the stylus are terrible, I don't see many buying that, 1g of ram? Now that's funny.

current devices: Nexus 6, Note 4, 3, 2, S3, OneX+

Or a smaller 5" version with the same internals. I dont want a huge phone.

I really would have thought they might have tried to make a bigger screen with a Stylus to match the Galaxy Note series, but I guess with all the overheating issue Snapdragon are having they've not opted to do it this year. Maybe next year they can actually bring out a phablet that can at least compete, well if Snapdragon can bring our a processor that doesn't overheat.

Also as everyone else has said, these phones are just a cheaper G4.

The one with stylus is known as G Stylo (H631 and variations) from T-Mobile.
update: it's $289 paid in full.
T-Mobile version has 2GB RAM and 16GB NAND.
Wow that's cheap! The thing is... That's a completely different phone. I would have rebranded it.

Hey, you might be interested in the LG flex 2. Its a 6" phablet with a stylus. (Overheating snapdragon included)

Cheers for the heads up! I think I'll steer well clear of the Flex 2, maybe if it was winter time and I needed a hand warmer.. :p

Flex 2 has 5.5" screen and no stylus? The orig flex did have a 6" screen though
