Saul:
This site has kdz's from 10c to 10i:
https://lg-firmwares.com/lg-lmx210ma-firmwares/
Try installing this LGUP and flash w/o uppercut:
Install LGUP Dual Mode(Dev/User) on your Windows PC
or another option:
Restore your Aristo 2 to the latest factory firmware using LG Bridge

You still have TWRP access, right ?
What is your system doing when it tries to boot ?

Happy Thanksgiving to all !
I have a new procedure here that I believe will end up being very useful not only to root an Aristo 2 or 2 plus, but also to recover from any issues or problems you might encounter.
It is a TWRP installable .zip that flashes stock images to all partitions that a firmware flash thru LGUP does, except for recovery.
It also flashes a patched boot image and a custom system image with full Magisk install(as system app) and some bloat removed.
The Aristo 2 image is based on 10K and the Aristo 2 plus is based on 10J.
Either image can be flashed on either phone, so you can change an Aristo 2 into a Aristo 2 plus or vice versa.
Install a custom pre-rooted ROM to your LG Aristo 2 or Aristo 2 plus using TWRP

It appears that Android Oreo based firmware is about to be released for the Aristo 2 and Aristo 2 plus !!!
I was checking out the LG open source website and I came across the following:

http://opensource.lge.com/osSch/list?types=ALL&search=LMX210MA

Note that the LMX210MA_Android_Oreo_v20a firmware release shows up under the LMX210MA (Aristo 2) model and the LMX212TAL (Aristo 2 plus) models.

I'm not certain when it will be released, but I expect it will be soon.

So keep your eyes open. The next system update should be to Oreo !!

If they have the source code released then they're done with all the manufacturer specifics and have forwarded it to the carriers to bloat up...good news for us

I'm sure you are right about LG forwarding the firmware to the carriers.
That explains why there is a longer delay on the firmware release this time.
Normally the source gets released about a week AFTER the firmware is released.

Unfortunately, it's not full source. It's just the portions of the source that LG did not author themselves. Essentially, it's the open source code written by others that LG is using in their product.
It's their legal obligation to disclose any open source code they are using.
However, it does, in this case, tell us that an Oreo firmware release is forthcoming.
To be honest, it surprises me that LG is bothering to upgrade from Nougat to Oreo on a mature product line like the cv1.
It takes a lot of developer, product support and QA hours to do a full version upgrade.
But I am quite happy that they are !!

Agreed...I'm happy about it as well...the stylo 4 (until i broke it) ran lovely on Oreo, even if the 1.8ghz octa was a little anemic...I think a 2gb ram device like this one will benefit from the memory management...i still need to root this thing...i had an issue with the kernel img that i got from the root thread- my display was moved halfway up the screen and the touchscreen wasn't working at all...i had to extract the aboot from the factory firmware and fastboot flash it to recover...

I'm still not sure what causes that weird TWRP issue. It's never happened to me.
I'll tell you this much: Avoid the 10L firmware, it's very problematic.
If you install the ROM below, it automatically sets your firmware to 10K
So you flashed a bootloader image from which firmware to fix it ?
This is the best and quickest root method currently (IMO):
Install a custom pre-rooted ROM to your LG Aristo 2 or Aristo 2 plus using TWRP

It wasnt just a twrp issue...the stock rom booted with the same display offset...thats why i know it was the driver...the fw was 10i i believe but I'll dbl chk the download on the laptop...

So how did you break your Stylo 4 ? is it in 9008 mode ?

No i flashed the kernel...i said boot tho didn't i? Lol it's early...

Well, you can't really flash the kernel alone, you can flash a boot image containing a kernel or a recovery image containing a kernel.

You said you flashed aboot, which is the primary bootloader

Here is a list of all the Aristo 2 partitions :

Yeah it was the whole boot img...but i figure the kernel is the issue...speculation of course... but idk what else would cause the display problem if not a mismatch between the kernel and BL...cuz everything was skewed, twrp, the OS etc but only AFTER the initial bootloader screen where you get the unlocked warning and the LG logo, once the BL passed off to either the kernel in recovery or the system kernel she went haywire...

The stylo 4 i accidentally ran over with a petibone on a jobsite smh it got pretty well flattened...and it wasn't rootable anyway so....blah lol

I know, what a waste of a nice phone.
The Aristo 2 boot images hadn't changed in a half dozen straight releases, then in 10L they made some major changes.
That's why I stay on 10K
What you just said gives me an idea
