Take a look at the post i got the image from would you? It didnt specify versions so i assumed it would be ok but it wasn't so....... I'm on 10I right now...it's the stock MPCS build...

10L is the problematic firmware with the new (maybe incompatible) kernel. When I was on 10L I couldn't get anything to work right, so I flashed back to 10K and re-rooted.
But the new ROM flashes the phone back to 10K while installing the ROM. If you still have the TWRP issue, let me know. I have a new modded TWRP that uses the 10L kernel.
if it's an incompatibility issue like you thought, maybe this will make it compatible.

Thanks! I'll give the kernel a try this evening just to see if that was the culprit as i suspect...and I'm going to try out that K rom too!

am having also the screen and weird lcd issues on my 1.0I phone.

I flashed the posted TWRP image and it solved the issue in the TWRP, now it works find, full size and touch works.

but I still have the Issue in the System.
Probably I need a compatible boot,img.

Can you share the appropiate one ?

It wasnt just a twrp issue...the stock rom booted with the same display offset...thats why i know it was the driver...the fw was 10i i believe but I'll dbl chk the download on the laptop...

And yeah a prerooted rom is always the fastest cuz the kernel is already patched...

I have the fortune 2(lmx20cm) which is exactly the same as the artiso from what I have read online. So as long as I get the correct files from lg I should be able to root or flash my phone right?

Unfortunately I no longer have this device. Moved up to the OnePlus 7T Pro McLaren Edition HD1915... I can't recommend it enough.
