Only had mine 3-4 days, but it has been fairly solid so far. With screen always on mode enabled, lots of calls/texts and music streaming (Bluetooth and wired) I easily get a full day from the battery. I thought I'd hate that I couldn't upgrade the battery, but I may not find the need with this device.

Coming from my LG G5 which had some of the worst battery life ever, this thing performs exponentially better.

As for actual results, similar to the other replies. It gets through the whole day, so long as I'm not having a long video binge session. Sips on the battery in idle.

I too am getting exceptional battery life...way better than any previous LG phone, including the V20 which I’m upgrading from.

Started the day at 100%.

4.3 hours of screen time.
80+ texts
24 emails
Surfed two websites
Downloaded 28 more Podcasts
1.75 hours of WAZE

10.5 hours later and I'm at: 46% battery.

That's WAAAAAY better than I ever got with the V20.

But that was all under WiFi right? How is it like when you are out and about on LTE all day?

First full day with the phone, it lasted me from 6am to 11pm and I'm at 52% battery. I have 4 hours screen on time I'm pretty happy with it
Was that all on WiFi though?

Good question ... and sorry for the late reply, I went scuba diving for 14 days and now catching up.

It was on a mix of WiFi and LTE. Looking back on it, it was 2 to 3 hours of WiFi in the morning hours (downloading Podcasts, early morning text and e-mails, the rest of the day was mostly LTE as I got on the road for 45 minutes each way (WAZE), talked on the phone at same time (Bluetooth earbud & mic), office work (no WiFi and I turn off Bluetooth while leaving WiFi on), back to the car (WAZE) to other office across town with Bluetooth earbud and phone time), check in, turn off Bluetooth only, surf a few sites, more e-mails and texts, then it sits for a while before back in car (WAZE & Bluetooth ear & mic) several calls later I'm at the gym and it's the same Earbuds while podcasts play for 90 minutes. Then home which is back to WiFi and wrap up e-mails, texts and surf a few regular sites and Instagram.

Hope that helps.

could it be from apps running in the background?
I don't think so. I have disabled unused system apps and I used to use greenify but I uninstalled it considering that it might be messing with the system doze or sleep settings. But no luck yet, the phone Idle drain still exist.
Do you have phone Idle usage in your battery stats?

Thanks for reverting mate.
