Just a warning for all of you LG owners ...
Trying to update my daughter's Optimus one to Gingerbread I managed to totally brick the phone. When I say totally I mean really bricked. No sign of life !
I must say I was very surprised because I've been juggling with Android for a couple of years installing every custom rom I've found on: Samsung Galaxy ( :-(( ), HTC Hero, HTC Desire. Done all I could to brick them but never managed to succeed

With LG I did it on the second try. The poor guy wasn't even rooted.
More than this I must say that since I bought the phone via Amazon, LG Italy refuses to repair it !
Luckily Amazon is smart and they will substitute it right away no question asked ! The new phone is already on his way to my home.
So beware LG owners, update your phone at your own risk, expecially it your're italian .... hihihihi
For me this is my last LG, you do what you want.
