LG G Watch R Desktop Stand

Hi!

I was about to order one of your stand but I think it's a rip-off when you choose shipping to Sweden and the price of the stand changes from $25.78 with $4.99 shipping to €25.81 with €9.51?

I understand the shipping is more expensive to Sweden than US but how can it be MORE in euros when it should be less?

Can I buy it some other place?

I don't think it's his fault neither, but if he want to sell them more international then he should switch. He can still make money of amazon and sites like that or just take orders private and use paypal.

Does anyone know of a setting to be able to adjust what shows during charging? My watch goes to black once it goes to the low power face when it's plugged in. While I appreciate this in certain situations, I would like to be able to control it's behavior.

Ideally if we could have a separate "designed for desktop" face come up, like the Moto 360 does, that would be best.

The Dev Option setting to keep the screen on while charging does not work with the "R" as it did with my Samsung Gear Live. Seems the "R" is set for the screen to go off while charging no matter what.

Both the stands look great but they both take the LG charging base. Here in UK I've been unable to get a spare base to keep at work. Contacted LG and they admit they don't sell them, can't find on amazon, and only eBay is from Korea. Anyone know where to get one?

Trouble is they are 3rd party on amazon and when I looked they didn't ship to UK. I find it hard to believe LG don't sell these, what if you lose it, buy a new watch? Rant over.

With every Android Wear watch. The extra OEM chargers came later. None had it just after release. It will come. They will be selling them in the Google Play store at a reasonable price in time.

I buy one from Korea on eBay and I think it's original LG and works perfectly

Just got mine in. Looks fantastic for a Shapeways product . I have ordered things in the past and this is the best thus far. My only issue is that the watch has some issue connecting to the charger in the base. You have to ensure that the pins catch, otherwise, the watch doesn't charge. I think the notch on the side needs to be a bit deeper to let the watch catch onto the OEM charger cradle, but that's just me rambling lol.

to (after picking EU/sweden)
€25.81+€9.51 = €35.32 = 340.08 SEK
to (two month later)
€28.74+€10.50 = €39.24 = 377,83 SEK

To hell with it, the creator should pick another distributor than Shapeways.

Actually with the current exchange rate the USD is only slightly lower than the EUR, also if the seller is in Sweden they may have to charge local taxes, which I expect to be much higher than in the US. I got a big shock when I transferred Euros to the US this week. Also keep in mind the seller is not getting official ECB exchange rate..
Today 1 EUR = 1.0635 USD, but through my bank, I got less than 1.02 US.

Prices tend to change with the exchange rate, that can work in your favor as well, if the EU ever solves the problem with bankrupt countries.

Awesome Wooden Charging Stand

A woodworker friend of mine made me a desk charging stand for my watch in his shop. It holds the watch at a nice angle and he included a place to put my ring when I take it off. It looks great and is very sturdy, it won't fall over. He said he can make it out of almost any kind of wood for $50, fancy woods cost more. Let me know if anyone would like one made for them
