Hi Folks,

I just wanted to share my experience with you all after I had dropped my G2 into water.

After the accident I turned my phone off and dried it out for about a day. When I turned it on it would try to boot up but only for about 5 seconds at a time. I had almost given up hope.
So for my last attempt to save the G2 I went and bought some Electronic Cleaner spray. I dis-assembled the G2 sprayed all the boards and let it dry. I re-assembled it and it is now working as expected.

Hopefully if any other G2 owners experience this it may help them. It is a long shot but it worked for me.

Cheers,
Trev

Put it in the sun for about 4 hours or use a hair dryer for about 45 minutes should fix the problem, it seems you still have water in the phone

Hair dryers should not be used because the intense heat can melt the glue holding some pieces together and/or melt the soldering on the board. Plus, rather than evaporating the droplets they tend to spread them around. Either avoid or use carefully.
