I am an avid Head-Fi'er and love the threads over there about the hype IEMs. They are always looking for the best budget IEMs that blow away others at many times their price. The VSonic line are always some of the best at this. The LG Quadbeats are very high on many of those guys list as well. They are rated very highly.

I personally use ADDIEMs (Apple Dual Driver In Ear Monitors). These are the $79 in ears & not the cheap earpods. They have Dual Balanced armature design. They isolate very well and response excellently to EQ. I am rooted and use Viper and can get them to sound better than IEMs costing many times their cost. I have used Shure 535s, UE900s and others costing well over $400. I kinda "got my priorities right" when I picked these up and started fooling around with Viper. I haven't looked back.

Another side benefit is they do not have the humming or hissing sound in the left ear.

I have those. Not sure what good ones I don't own at this point. House is flooded with head/earphones, if only I could find them all. :)
LOL sounds like you need to start moving up to the higher-tiers and buy fewer of them instead of getting piles of mid/low priced!

Does Skype still break V4A? One reason I gave up on the N5 is that it sounds like crap without V4A running but every time I used Skype it was like the driver quit on me. Didn't matter where it was installed, either. Tried /system/app and /system/priv-app, same result.

I am not a Skype user so I can't help on this one. You may want to check the V4A thread and see the latest.

It's a shame that the US models don't come with decent earbuds. Then again, it's more likely they'd come with cheap ones instead.

Personally I buy SOL Republic JAX. They look a little cheap, but they sound real nice for under $40. I just wish the volume controls worked with the G3, they don't. :( But I haven't found a better Android compatible alternative for a similar price yet.

I wish they never came with earbuds. That way people would take a look and find a product worth a damn instead of settling. Make the device $15 cheaper, let people buy their own 'phones.

How do you like them?

Sent from my LG-D850 using XDA Premium 4 mobile app
Soundmagic earbuds are hard to beat dollar for dollar. Anyone wanting bang for buck, I advise starting with one of theirs.

I have Jax. Pretty good but Soundmagic stuff is better for the buck.

I picked up a set of JVC ear buds a month or so ago from Radioshack. Not all of their locations carry them but they are great. I cannot remember the model # unfortunately nor can I find them. :)

Maybe another addict here will know of them.

Considering JVC makes a lot of earbuds I think we'll need some more info before trying to pinpoint which ones you got, LOL.

Is there a model with Android compatible controls and an in-line mic? One thing I like about the SOL Jax, I can use them for calls also.

That and a flat cable really does prevent tangling. But I might rather have working volume controls...

I even got the manufacturer wrong, like I said I own so many that I cannot keep track. Lol!

Anyways, they are pretty darn good. I have only seen them in one Radioshack store, of course I cannot remember which but I know I bought them when I was out of my town so not locally.

Sorry but I don't know. I use every set of earbuds I bought just for listening to music never using controls or mic.

Im still getting the static in the left channel. I can notice this very much on lower volumes with my Shure SE846.

Someguydude have you noticed this on your device? Its most noticeable with quiet part but a lot of bass, lower volume.

Its also apparent on my Bluetooth speaker so I think its a software problem.
