LG G4 - Fraudulent sellers on Marketplace

Just thought I'd advise anyone thinking of buying a 'new' LG G4 from Amazon..
Well, not Amazon themselves (they've been GREAT) but some of the marketplace sellers.

My first LG G4 had given up the ghost last November (boot loop) and Amazon actually refunded me - so I went onto a marketplace store looking for a new one.
I checked the serial numbers (first few digits) with them before purchasing, then ordered one. Looked good. Worked fine..
About a month later, I bought one for my missus (upgrade)..

Both boxes came unsealed though the contents looked new - and when I queried this, they said it was to 'check the contents' (why you need to do this for a new phone, I don't know.. So it was clearly BS)..
The thing that sent my alarm bells ringing was that BOTH SERIAL NUMBERS were exactly the same... They didn't seem to have an answer to my query about this. My thinking is that they are getting refurbed phones, sticking a serial number on it that will fool people into thinking they're a new batch (unaffected by boot loops) then flogging them off to the general public.. They're just too lazy to make the serial numbers at least consecutive..

Anyway.. Sent both back. Purchased direct from Amazon.. Happy campers! :)

Yeah this has been going on a few months after the G4 came out so for a long while. Not just Amazon it's everywhere even retail stores. I deal with it almost every other day here in the forums where someone bought a G4 say an AT&T model and it's actually a Sprint or Verizon model with misc parts inside.
