Like TWRPHonestly, no point in unlocked bootloader unless there's a custom recovery available. It's nice that it's out though!
Lmao, it's amazing what can happen while you take a napLike TWRP

the_Scotsman? With an LG? Looks like I'm not the only one to make a break from HTC. Nice to see a familiar face here. They're all locked![]()
Yep. The M9 is rubbish, wasn't going to waste my money - G4 is where it's at :good:the_Scotsman? With an LG? Looks like I'm not the only one to make a break from HTC. Nice to see a familiar face here.

Magnusson-Moss act. Good to know. I might pull the trigger than when my H815 comes in on thursday...the only thing I can see using my warranty on is something like the hairline crack that the G3's had develops on the G4. I can't see any other issue with the phone software wise that would require warranty service as most of us are techie enough to probably fix it ourselves either via a different ROM, etc.Agreed, it totally depends on the company, but it's sounding like LG is being reasonable about it.
It probably depends on your local laws, too - in the US at least (I know that doesn't help the Euro H815 owners), if the company cannot prove that your software changes directly caused whatever hardware defect you're experiencing, the hardware warranty will still apply. This bit is totally anecdotal, but a few years ago, with my T-mobile G2 (HTC Desire Z), I got full warranty coverage for a keyboard issue, even though the device was S-OFF and running CyanogenMod.
It's already working here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/g4/orig-development/recovery-twrp-2-8-6-0-touch-recovery-t3125859Keep us up to date as mine arrives tomorrow.

Thanks as I just saw it after posting!!
I have the same issue. I can get into TWRP using fastboot boot.Flashing TWRP doesn't seem to work successfully from my Mac. I can reboot into (my unlocked) bootloader, fastboot flash recovery twrp.img and then I get a success message.
But when I reboot and use adb to get to recovery, I just get the Android with a red triangle. Rubbish. Any ideas?
Yup just tried that method and seems to work well. Thank you.I have the same issue. I can get into TWRP using fastboot boot.
I hope though there is some key combination that can be used to get into recovery. Having to be at a computer every time would be pretty annoying. Need to fix the triangle issue first though.Yup just tried that method and seems to work well. Thank you.
