I purchased a carrier "unlocked" G4 (LGH815) from Amazon. After going through the painful bootloader unlocking procedure, the process failed at the last step, emailing the unlock bin from LG, with the message "Unfortunately, your device (Singapore(ARROW(SINGAPORE))) does not support unlocking the bootloader. I'm guessing this is a Chinese/Singapore phone, rather than Euro.

Any advice on how I can root this device, please? Thanks.
I got the same device today, you have root on it ?

Hello,I'm trying to unlock my H815 ( International ) but when I try to register on the LG Devolper's website I get this error:

Sorry, Request page not found
Request URL
Request URL /secure/Register.dev
Date 28/10/2015 13:06:58
Message Service Unavailable. Please contact the site administrator ([email protected]).

What can I do?
Same here, I can't create an LG developer account . Is anyone else having this issue too?

you do not need an LG developer account - just use the link to the official LG unlock tool in the first paragraph of this guide :p

The link in the fist paragraph goes to the LG page which has the button "Start unlocking the Bootloader", which then asks me to log in with my LG Developer account.

The page also describes the steps and the first one says ". Click Starting Unlocking the Bootloader at the bottom of this page to start the bootloader unlock process. If you are not logged into your account, we ask that you log in.".

If I'm not wrong, you can't download the tool without being logged in.

OK, I went there myself, it does look like they have started requiring a login, but I was able to register an account with no problem and go to the unlocking procedure next steps!

I tried to register several times using a different email address, proxies from other countries and varying the info i enter in the form fields just in case I'm entering something special that makes it crash but I always keep getting:

Request URL/secure/Register.dev
Date 02/04/2016 21:53:38
Message Service Unavailable. Please contact the site administrator ([email protected]).

But thanks anyway WTF? for taking a look into it!

Can someone tell if this LG G4 version on amazon is the international EU model that can be bootloader unlocked?
http://smile.amazon.com/LG-H815-5-5...s&ie=UTF8&qid=1459808994&sr=1-2&keywords=h815
It is possible, but very low chance. There is no way to tell the country code from that posting on Amazon - and most of the people who have ordered International H815 from Amazon have received SEA or TWN version, and neither of those two is unlockable.

Here is the list of unlockable bootloader region codes.

If I were buying online, I would inquire with a vendor located in Europe - perhaps one on ebay.uk or ebay.de or amazon.uk, etc. or else a retail electronics store in Europe, or even a European carrier such as EE, O2, Vodaphone, etc. - I bet an economy like Greece would have some bargains, your currency will likely go far there. Paying with PayPal would add an additional recourse if the phone came in different than agreed.

wherever you purchase, I would definitely speak with the vendor on the telephone and confirm the 3-digit region code on the end of the box is one of those on the list linked to above, and I would also get a guarantee where I could return the phone with no hassle if the phone that arrives is not the agreed upon region code discussed. Paying with a credit card or PayPal would add an additional level of recourse if the phone arrived with a different code than agreed upon.

Thanks a lot for the answer and clear explanation of how to purchase the European model. Can't risk buying a phone I cannot installed a custom rom on, so I will be buying the G3 model instead.

Getting a problem. Rebooted into fastboot mode. But when i try to retrieve device id I get: < waiting for any device > and nothing happens. Got latest adb/fastboot version. My model is H-815 and software version is v10d-EUR-XX Any ideas?

I can see the problem, just don't know how to fix:

Install the leasted usb LG drives from lg, reboot pc, connect the phone and wait to update it.

It will ask you for permissions on the phone to connect, press "yes" and it should work after that.

I'm with widows 10 too and i don't have to do anything else to make it work.

Sent from my LG-H815
