Got the same problem as my phone was serviced for the bootloop issue. You just need to send them an email to [email protected] (and tweet them), they answered very quickly!Hey guys. I got the problem with the unmatching ID and IMEI, when I try to unlock the bootloader, but the IMEI of my phone matches the one on the box and the ID is also correct..any idea what else could cause that problem? I am losing my mind over this and I just can't seem to find the issue.
You need to insist that LG return the correct phone model back to you. H815P is not unlockable and completely unacceptable. That is not the European model and not even the international model. It is a completely different phone with different LTE bands, etc.hey guys , after sending back to LG to repair now i have 815P not 815H and i cant unlock it from lg , any method to unlock it?
i know its different because i had motherboard issue , so motherboard is changed and imei and s-n also changed .You need to insist that LG return the correct phone model back to you. It took 3 days for their database update, you'll just need to send them a screenshot of your device ID + a picture of the IMEI on your G4's backplate, under the battery.![]()
Oh I see just got my phone back today also from repair for bootloop problem, I will email them not with the email address you leftGot the same problem as my phone was serviced for the bootloop issue. my G4 H815 is bootloader unlocked , rooted, stock Marshmallow 20D, and Android Pay works fine.guys, does anybody know if Android Pay works if the bootloader is unlocked?
Did you have to do any sort of root hiding to get past the checks which Android Pay has? I have heard of cases where people unroot/root to get past it.my G4 H815 is bootloader unlocked , rooted, stock Marshmallow 20D, and Android Pay works fine.
I don't think so. I think they have a database online in which they mark all unlocked bootloaders (similarly to ASUS tablets), so there's no turning back.is there any way to revert the change (I mean relock the bootloader)? I unlocked it and now i have fear that i will have bootloop and they won't change or repair my device because of it.
They have no way of knowing if you unlocked your bootloader unless they have your phone. Only thing they know is whether the unlock.bin was downloaded for a certain phone.I don't think so. All I know is some people after getting their motherboard changed in repair weren't able to unlock for an hardware mismatch, and that after contacting LG they fixed it. So yeah, I'm pretty sure they have the same system as ASUS, with a database containing data relative to all devices. They have no way of knowing if you unlocked your bootloader unless they have your phone. Downloading is one thing, unlocking is another. You lose warranty for the second not the first.
They can't deny warranty based on downloading. If a phone doesn't report an unlocked bootloader their so called database doesn't mean a thing.
Interesting. Mine bootlooped on Friday (H815 - 6 months old) and LG have refused to fix it because it's rooted. I responded saying that they are required by EU law to provide a statutory warranty but I've yet to get a response. I bought mine from Ebuyer.co.uk. How did you manage to get it repaired?Mine went in for the motherboard replacement back in December, it was stuck in the bootloop with the unlocked bootloader showing up on the screen when it went to LG's repair center, it wasn't a problem they were more interested if it had been water damaged, New motherboard new imei, serial number and with a new 12 months warranty, unlocking the bootloader again wasn't a problem.
