Well in the future we simply can't go for a Nexus cause Google ended the Nexus brand. Nexus is only really good for the ones who love Android and want the fastest updates. Nexus have always lacked in some features which can be really important for some of us, like a SDcard-Slot, removable battery, also they have never ever been the best with their camera's, yes they have been improved over the years and yes the last nexus phones are pretty good if it comes to the camera but they are simply not close to be the best (My opinion based on my experiences). Also the new Pixel phones can be a no go for the most of us due to that they are ridiculously overpriced. I do regret going for a LG G4 tho... always loved the rich development for my previous phone the Nexus 5 .. Also the G4 really disappoints me after I have upgraded to Marshmallow LG Stock ROM, the 3D performance got really bad, scrolling lag, wifi that sometimes disconnects and bad battery life compared to the Lollipop LG Stock ROM and AOSP based custom ROMs. The only things I really love about the G4 are the camera, the SDcard-slot and the removable battery. I'm almost 100% sure the G4 will get Android Nougat so we will see what the Nougat update will bring to the G4. BUT !!!! They have had too much motherboard problem....and it's the worst manufacturer (after the horrible Samsung !!! The worst of the worst... ) for android deployment....
You love Android ??? Buy a Nexus !!!!!! Always updated...
There are the best development ,the best "pure" android developers (more and more move to nexus !!! Because orhers manufacturers and others LG are more and more locked encrypted,protected).......very easy to ynlock bootloader without problem...
I think google end up with nexus now..not sure
