Lets do some maths here. If a serial number is 505k**** it means it was manufactured around May 2015 right? 507k*** in July 2015 and so on? So if lg only acknowledged the issue after January 2016,then chances are that most 2015 batches will come down with the issue yeah? Although the confusing thing is that you stated you saw some 604 with the issue...so im just gonna be very prayerful that my 507k thats about to be shipped doesn't come down with that problem.:fingers-crossed:

The reason why im going for the lg g4 is coz of the good deal i got. $280 brand new. If you know any good device within that range let me know,otherwise i guess i might just take the risk. What do you think?

if you do.... try to get 6xx + phone... its up to you... i did, i knew this problem thats why i got me a 601. h811 that can be unlocked.. so its not bad.. as long as it has warranty you are okey.. and they tend to show up before warranty in the usa. its 15months.. i dont know othe phones. i like this cause of camera.. and cause i has G2.

when i voted here, my 505 still is good, but got bootlooped before my warranty ends this is the first time ive been happy because of bootloop.. xD

SN 511 with HW 1.1, so far so good. Had some touch screen issues out of the box after Titanium Backup restore but made LG Backup after that, reseted the phone back to factory settings and then restored the LG backup, has worked fine ever since.

LG's are 15 months from manufacturing date .. call them...

your boottloader ???? locked or unlocked.?
if unlocked can you relock it.?

Called LG, they want me to send the phone (pay for shipping) then they will give me an estimate on how much they will charge for repair.
Still have $200 to play off on the tmobile payment plan

are you out of warranty from LG too as well? did you mentioned about unlocked bootloader.?
are you going to relock it.? i would like someone to make a thread about relocking and sending a bootlooped G4.
that sucks man.. i think you should relock and make thread and video of it.. then try tmobile they know its a hardware defect.. ..

UPDATE:
I was able to Lock the bootloader.

1. I connected the phone to my PC
2. Powered on the Phone (it took a few tried of pulling the battery and powering on)
3. Check the box for OEM Unlock in Dev. Option
4. Use Minimal ADB and Fastboot and type in

adb devicecs

- you should see the phone listed as one of the devices in the command line window

adb reboot bootloader

- phone should reboot and you shouold see 3 lines of text on top

fastboot oem lock

- nothing will happen on the phone, but on in the commandline it should say that it is done

fastboot reboot

Phone reboots and the boot screen does not show the unlocked bootloader message anymore

Now my g4 h815 died about an hour ago

Was able to restart with the big cores disabled as described here on XDA...but phone is not really very usable in this state

No more buying from LG for me....

Will probably get a oneplus 3

You can root and enable 3 more cores!it will become fast as it used to be(maybe a bit slower).

My girlfriend's 505 serial G4 died a few months ago.

Took about 20 days for LG to replace the mainboard. All good again now.
