Jeez you'd have thought they would have fixed it long before then o.othing is theres 604 that already bootloop. those were made on april 2016 i think ive seen 2 . yeah :fingers-crossed:
Lets do some maths here. If a serial number is 505k**** it means it was manufactured around May 2015 right? 507k*** in July 2015 and so on? So if lg only acknowledged the issue after January 2016,then chances are that most 2015 batches will come down with the issue yeah? Although the confusing thing is that you stated you saw some 604 with the issue...so im just gonna be very prayerful that my 507k thats about to be shipped doesn't come down with that problem.:fingers-crossed:thing is theres 604 that already bootloop. those were made on april 2016 i think ive seen 2 . yeah :fingers-crossed:
yes . it seems like they noticed the issue and many people said that LG aknowledge the issue and fix it with the 510 october 2015.. right.. but even those are getting boot loops and newers too from 6xx. when i chat with LG they suggested to stay away from any phone below 6xx. but people reporting issues in this serials.. not alot but they have.. and thats becuase it takes time and usage to show up... like you said since they akcnowledge problem why it hasnt been fixed?? mines 601 but it has HW. 1.0 the supposed fix is HW 1.1 ive seen older phone with 1.1 hardware version. you can look it up in hidden menu when you enter code at dialer...Lets do some maths here. The reason why im going for the lg g4 is coz of the good deal i got. $280 brand new. If you know any good device within that range let me know, otherwise i guess i might just take the risk. yes you can read the thread on Q&A stuck on bootloop.. read and youll see.
i hope mine too.
if you do.... try to get 6xx + phone... its up to you... i did, i knew this problem thats why i got me a 601. h811 that can be unlocked.. so its not bad.. as long as it has warranty you are okey.. and they tend to show up before warranty in the usa. its 15months.. i dont know othe phones. i like this cause of camera.. and cause i has G2.The reason why im going for the lg g4 is coz of the good deal i got. $280 brand new. LG's are 15 months from manufacturing date .. call them...Tmobile warranty ended, yesterday. Today I get the boot loop.
Yay for me. Im still making payments on the phone
Bootloader unlockedLG's are 15 months from manufacturing date .. call them...
your boottloader ???? locked or unlocked.?
if unlocked can you relock it.?
are you out of warranty from LG too as well? did you mentioned about unlocked bootloader.?Bootloader unlocked
Called LG, they want me to send the phone (pay for shipping) then they will give me an estimate on how much they will charge for repair.
Still have $200 to play off on the tmobile payment plan
I do have the bootloader unlocked. I dont think its possible to relock the bootloader. the phone cannot be booted to download or fastboot mode holding power and vol down and connecting USB does not do anythingare you out of warranty from LG too as well? did you mentioned about unlocked bootloader.?
are you going to relock it.? i would like someone to make a thread about relocking and sending a bootlooped G4.
that sucks man.. i think you should relock and make thread and video of it.. then try tmobile they know its a hardware defect.. ..
tell us you 3 first digits from serial number..
- you should see the phone listed as one of the devices in the command line windowadb devicecs
- phone should reboot and you shouold see 3 lines of text on topadb reboot bootloader
- nothing will happen on the phone, but on in the commandline it should say that it is donefastboot oem lock
Phone reboots and the boot screen does not show the unlocked bootloader message anymorefastboot reboot
i see how did you manage to enter into oem unlock or to boot it.? you got pm..I do have the bootloader unlocked. I dont think its possible to relock the bootloader. the phone cannot be booted to download or fastboot mode holding power and vol down and connecting USB does not do anything
I have a 505 May/2015 manuf. date
The funny thing, I had this issue with my original phone, and it was replaced under warranty. SO this is the second time issue happening.
UPDATE:
I was able to Lock the bootloader.
1. I connected the phone to my PC
2. Powered on the Phone (it took a few tried of pulling the battery and powering on)
3. Check the box for OEM Unlock in Dev. Option
4. Use Minimal ADB and Fastboot and type in
- you should see the phone listed as one of the devices in the command line window
- phone should reboot and you shouold see 3 lines of text on top
- nothing will happen on the phone, but on in the commandline it should say that it is done
Phone reboots and the boot screen does not show the unlocked bootloader message anymore
You can root and enable 3 more cores!it will become fast as it used to be(maybe a bit slower).SO I made this topic/poll back in January
Now my g4 h815 died about an hour ago
Was able to restart with the big cores disabled as described here on XDA...but phone is not really very usable in this state
No more buying from LG for me....
Will probably get a oneplus 3
