Called LG, they want me to send the phone (pay for shipping) then they will give me an estimate on how much they will charge for repair.
Still have $200 to play off on the tmobile payment plan
This just happened to me also both my wife's and mine dies in the same week. I still owe 225 for each phone. What a hip... Sad to say I cannot trust LG anymore since now the V10 is starting to have same issues.

Update to the story.
I called Tmobile like 3 times talking with different people. Finally got a person to make a out of warranty exception. They sent a replacement phone to a local tmobile store. I had to pay $5 for this service. But now I have a working G4. Yay Tmobile, or until this replacement bricks...

I bricked my 604 performing an OTA rollback, which is the most unlikely thing ever. DON'T ROLLBACK YOUR G4!

T-Mobile gave me a refurbished 505. I'm scared now the device will bootloop. But it's been foxed already. I think I should've gotten the repair from LG instead of T-Mobile.

I have h811.

Good to hear that. I should have called few times. I ended up sending mine to LG and just today got a email they recived it. Then on my wife's phone tmobile said it still had warranty and sending a replacement but will pay $20 once I pick it up. Must be because her phone was replaced already.

$20 for warranty, $5 if you've got premium protection.

Just got mine swapped. But since they gave me one with drop damage they're giving me another free of charge. TMO is outstanding with customer service BTW.

I can also see where the SOC overheated and warped the screen on this 505 model! LOL i hope I get another 60x model I moss my 604

Mine is 602 and so far works good. Slight overheating while playing NFS No limits but it's just slight heat, my old s3 was more overheating while accessing settings [emoji14]

Heat is normal. I feel as long as my device stays under 52°C it should be fine.

I'm getting another warranty device since this 505 they replaced my 604 with has obvious drop damage and the screen is wavy where the SOC obviously overheated before ot was supposedly fixed..

So I just bought a used lg g4, works great. But is there any way to check if the phone was already repaired for the bootloop issue? And what serial numbers were affected? Its a H810 AT&T version.

Mine is 505 so anyway to check to see if the board has been changed out?
It means it will die, check under battery on the sticker. It'll be called hardware revision or so. If it's 1.2 ur safe if anything below bootloop is coming

There is a great app on Google Play called LG Phone Info - screen shots look like it is in Vietnamese or something, but it is actually in English and is great for finding your motherboard's serial and also great for finding the country code of your phone (listed as "Provider") - the country code will tell you if the phone can be bootloader unlocked (if it is an H815) as shown in this famous post of mine from last December.

An alternative and equivalent app to LG Phone Info is LG Phone From

Speaking of bootloader unlockable LG G4 which are quite hard to find in USA, and work great on AT&T, this ebay seller in UK has 10 unlockable bootloader H815 phones, brand new in sealed LG box, Euro country code ROM (Romania)! - at a very low price of around US$345 shipped, I just ordered one for my GF, as bootloader unlockable ones you cannot find at this price, if you can find them at all. - I expect these will go quickly once word gets around.

Bootloader unlocked has another side benefit from the normal advantages like no advertising with AdAway, rooting in MM, etc. - it also allows you to delete any bloatware or problem files from your phone, and allows you to optimize the phone and get it running crazy cool temps, then you have very long battery life, and best of all, NO BOOTLOOPS - I have been using a "505" H815 model for 16 months this way, and it will never bootloop, it runs so cool you would think it is not even powered on!
