Honestly I wasn't expecting so many votes in the first 24 hours but it does seem from this small sample that something was really wrong with the 505 batches

Much better chance having your phone stay functional if you are 506 and up

U used to have Samsung note 2 but I luckily avoided the hardware failure with the memory on that
A friend of mine had a sudden death on a nexus 5 secondary to no obvious reason that we could see.

So the question really is... If the much smaller failure rate of the non 505 batches are acceptable

Thanks again

Let's see if our sample size grows anymore

As i have said , that's why this poll us very important ...

untul now ,it confirm that this problem principaly affect the 505 serie ...but for now a very extrem minority have answered to this poll .

(i hope that many others members take 2 seconds for answer or uodate this poll :p )

if there are an insignificant sudden death on others series ,we can say that it's a general devices problems (many models of many manufacturers have problems....especialy Samsung ! )

Purchased on release day on T-Mobile USA. 505 series with no hardware failure & working perfectly fine. No Marshmallow for us yet so I'm still on Lollipop. Running a custom rom with bootloader unlocked.

Why bother? 75% of those currently on the G4 forum will be jumping to the G5 forum in a few weeks.
A G5 ??? lol !!!
i don't think so...
All membets here who want to customise will change of manufacturers ...
a G5 bootloader locked with MM 6 =>> really nothing about development is possible !

I this thread if there a are lots of views but not many vote :maybe at each news messages there are members (like me for example) who search more informatiin about this damned problem go to look into this thread many times ... :p
