ROM comparison

I've seen some decent photos in this thread, very nice.
I just bought a new G5 (H850 EU) and played around with the stock camera app. Which features will be missing when I switch to LOS or other AOSP-based ROMs? Does anyone really use dual-boot just to max out the G5 camera or are the differences negligible?
I also read that even with Fulmics there are some issues. Are they still present or is it working fine now?

Thanks

So as i was saying before about the issues with my G5, i decided to show the difference in image quality as it seems since i had my 7.x update it seems that the image quality was reduced?
I was looking at the camera post update and stated many times the shutter on the G5 seems a bit slower to respond?
The iso seems less noisy on the G4. The G4 has a max sutter speed of 30s and min of 1/6000 while my G5 is max 30s and min of 1/3200. Thats a significant difference and makes a big impact in bright areas or strong sunlight.

You can see the difference and how much more details are retained in the G4 image.

I've been a little surprised as well by the low-light noise/artefacts in nougat. My phone came with nougat though so I can't compare images; everything is brand new though.

To be honest, it looks less like sensor noise to me than image post processing, but it could really be either. I'd like to see some other comparison photos from other users (who know how to keep their lenses clean) under different conditions. It would really suck if LG put out a ****ty update that compromised the video/photo quality of the G5 and it wasn't addressed.

I found 3 factors that affected post processing

1. Battery, if it was low and not in saver mode it could be a bit unpredictable this is something i have seen since 7.x update

2. Location of storage, storing it on a memory card i found would be a factor if you take a series of shots and they still post processing i found sometimes that would affect quality.
As opposed to directly to the phones memory.
If you have a large ammount of programs running in the background do you ever notice a difference? Thats something im looking at.

3. Quality of memory card, as that will jointy go hand in hand with what i just said about number 2.

The main shooter before nougat was very good and beat my G4 in many situations if not all. The quality post nougat update seemed slightly reduced, the shutter reaponse is much slower and will affevt low light situations as well as trying to film anything when moving fast ie. being on a train and filming out the window. It will bounce in and out of focus.

I have contacted LG and they have not given me the time of day for a response. I got the address for one of the senior management of LG UK and he was embarrassed at how he cant even get a response.

Post 7.x update it was fine now its just covered in noise.
Anyone else care to share their experiences?

My camera experience in the dark is quite poor. The main cam is really bad, while the wide cam is much better. You can see attached the same scene taken with both cameras in auto mode. The wide photo is much brighter. I am on stock Nougat ROM. I'm considering to try with different rom and see if there will be some improvement. To me this is pure software issue, since in manual mode the camera can take much better photos.

In fact it was not recording the ISO value for the wide cam at all in the EXIF.

I decided to attempt a factory reset and in the end it solved the problems with low light photos for me and with ISO for the wide cam. Maybe the cam app was messed up during update from Android 6 to 7.
