2800 is like, let's see, 6,7% less than 3000.
If G5 really has an OLED display i think that 2800 will be enough.
Also we don't know if G5 has a 5.6" display or a 5.3" one, tomorrow all wil be clear =)
7.1% smaller to be exact. Every year companies say that the improved components mean better battery life, but they also have increased performance/resolution so it usually averages out. The fact is the S6 had a 2600mAh batter and that had a much more battery friendly processor and AMOLED, and that was regarded as one of the worst flagships as far as battery life is concerned. The G4 and V10 have a 3000mAh and those batteries are mediocre.

Exact? 30:100=28:X -> X=(28x100)/30=93,3(periodic) -> 100-93,3=6,7
Anyway, the resolution is the same of the G4 and also the Exynos of S6 is known that is not energy friendly.
Also we don't know if the 820 wil be battery friendly or not, will see.

i'm saying that the battery that we see here is the removable battery attachad to the bottom of the G5, to add an extra battery maybe a module will take place of the bottom part of the phone and the battery will stick into it and you can use it.
my point is that the battery is removable with the bottom and the extra battery module will be outside the phone not inside the
battery is rumored to be 2800 mAh
sorry for bad english
but the article said 1100 mah

the article didn't said that the battery is 1100 mAh it says that "The modular battery add-on is rumored to include a 1100mAh battery and physical buttons for various camera functions — zoom, flash, shutter release, etc." as what we see it's talking about a module that add (1100mAh+physical buttons)+ 2800mAh removable battery

da## you are right the source is claiming 4000 mah but my measurement bu matching the bottom up to the lg g3 bottom says this battery will be bigger the the lg g3 battery and if it has the same thickness and energy decity(which could have gone up but probably not down) says this battery will be 3444 mah( why the g3 well the lg g3 to g4 is a 2 mm bump in size so should be close)

3000 mah has 7.1% more capacity than 2800 mah and 2800 mah has 6.7% less capacity than 3000 mah, got it?

No app drawer on LG software now - There's been rumours about Android N removing the app drawer, may be the first sign. iOS clones incoming.

OMFG that MWC presentation was without a doubt the most cringeworthy load of **** I've ever had the misfortune to witness...
So far I'm not a fan of the design, every single "friend" is gimmicky BS, the token speakers had nothing to say, the LG marketing dude was awful and unnatural, B&O is probably the most overrated and unnecessary company in the history of ever and the one handed drone controller looks like an Atari 2600 controller.
I can appreciate that they try to innovate but why would they market the phone as a gimmicky niche toy? I was really looking forward to it, but I think I'll pass.... again...
"We're launching G5 simultaneously in ...errr.... key markets world wide" You wanna know when or where? TOUGH LUCK! Price? Nope...

Always on display 0.8% battery/per hour?
FFS... If the battery is only 2800mAh by stock we can only get 80.8% capacity ( per day ) of the battery so we only get pure 2262.4mAh's ???
If it's possible to turn off the ,,always on''' display maybe I will get a go and buy LG G5 comming from my LG G2.

Can someone tell me why the app drawer is important?
I dont like what Apple does. No widgets. No rearranging icons.

That wont be an issue with the G5.
Just make folder on the 2nd or 3rd or whatever screen and put all your apps in it if it bothers you that much.

Or just use the google now launcher.
Won't miss any feature of the G5. The things that remain the same, like the notification drop down, look pretty nice.

I dont care one bit about the app drawer.. but I also dont care about the "friends"

There is nothing that appealing about the G5.
I dont see myself using the "Always On" display. That is 0.8% an hour.. that is nearly 20% battery wasted a day. No way. Not for me

The camera looks interesting.. but that is about it.
The rest of the specs are going to be the same for every flagship this year.
I do like the size. I dont mind the design.

I think it'll be a good phone and I love that LG are trying something. I hope it does well for them.. Just nothing appealing about it for me to move from my S6.
Doesnt look like the S7 is going to do anything for me either..

Over to HTC now... and that is still a long way away .

And you can rise your battery up thanks to one of that modules to 4000m mAh.
Insteed of using the module that looks like pain in the ***, you will not be able to use cases ant other features. And had you seen a mobile phone with this ,,L'' shape design with module? :D I will not even buy any of the additional modules, maybe the extra battery one. But also, it will be cheaper to buy a power bank.

You can turn it off/
May it be true. :) They could just make a module with different camera lens, so it would be more ,,dsl'' now the additional module just looks to big for my eyes.

We don't know neither the price of phone nor the modules and I think it wouldn't be as cheap as we want. But LG may surprise us. I think the bets module of all is maybe the rolling bot. I think it's the most useful module of them. That CAM plus ... I don't know. That zooming stuff is not needed because the phone has no optical zoom but only the digital one. Maybe those hardware buttons might be useful. Virtual reality is almost the same as the others. 360° cam would be interesting but IMHO how many times we will use it... I don't know. Every modules are nice idea with the connections with the phone, but is it needed and is it practic?

let's hope we can shut down the always on display or we will have to do it in the kernel which will most probably cause funny bugs in the early days, I was super excited but I will wait until the phone has been out for a few weeks htc & sammy seem to pasted on big changes this year so let's hope the g5 gets good reviews and the battery life is good (5+h sot) or My g3 will stay my daily driver. some of the modules seem gimmicky (parrot) some are usable but in specific circumstances(camera friends) and the Sound friend could be good but at the right price
