Really appreciate the fact that I am now spending my morning, helping someone who isn't fluent in any language that I am fluent in, fix a phone. Great use of my limited community time. Again, thanks for publishing something you knew I didn't want published.
I know it sucks but you are a good guy to help.

No stock firmware, and he doesnt have the proper boot. Nothing to help with, he can get a new phone or wait for a proper image.
I an pretty sure I know who you're talking about.

I guess since the boot img is gone then recovery won't even work with the hardware keys.

So yea. Pretty screwe

yea... first thing dude should have done was pulled a backup of what he replaced since there is no stock firmware! shesh, its unfortunate some folks do not understand the word patient. Although, I have been guilty of it as well. I suppose you live and you learn. However, the act of one just cost another a device. Ouch :mad:

@Freddo2000 has become oddly quiet.

the whole thread everyone's been telling him to calm down and wait. he's been busting balls this entire thread and now he's responsible for bricking a phone. (and don't say the user is cause you posted something that was half baked)

isn't this a ban worthy offense? kids these days.

Congrats, you just ensured that I don't publish what I have been working on for the last week. You know the tool is dangerous, you know it will brick devices, you know I didn't want it published. You showed complete disregard for myself, and the community by publishing it. You published it in an incomplete undocumented state. The source code published, because it was incomplete, is difficult to understand at best.
I know as a group that we now don't deserve any of your help anymore but thanks for explaining things to us and working on this project to help those of us that don't know how to do what you do. Hope you can one day forgive this at times very impatient and dimwitted LG G5 community.

Jcase. Please. Don't let some stupid unappreciative people ruin it for the rest of us. There's so many of us waiting patiently because we know the hard work you've put in

*sigh* I don't blame you one bit, @jcase. This is getting ridiculous and I don't mean you or @beaups but the few jerks who are too impatient and reckless with this stuff. I was busy at work and come back home to see this all over the thread. Idk what is going on with this community but I want to thank you both for putting any effort towards this phone. It's a shame that said work won't be released but the reason why is so understandable even Anne Frank could see it.....

Seriously? Why can't people just be patient? Someone always has to come wading in with their claim to fame and impatience and ruin proceedings by sheer ignorance to the devs who go oit their way to help the general XDA community. I am lucky myself to have the European version but i really feel for anyone and everyone who may have very well just lost full support in unlocking their G5s by this. Sad times.

Hopefully this has been a lesson learned and people will just patiently wait for a full and proper release to be made available.

To the devs who have been working hard in their free time to help, i would ask that you don't take the actions of a few and judge the majority of XDA users ?

Yeah it was a bad move, especially if you guys did talk about not doing that before.
But I hope @jcase is not that butthurt about it. One thing is to have non working tool. Another is to have working one and not releasing it because some idiot bricked his phone, seriously.
I'm among others been waiting, and if you guys keep working on it I do appreciate that, I don't have that knowledge.
