Yeah it was a bad move, especially if you guys did talk about not doing that before.
But I hope @jcase is not that butthurt about it. One thing is to have non working tool. Another is to have working one and not releasing it because some idiot bricked his phone, seriously.
I'm among others been waiting, and if you guys keep working on it I do appreciate that, I don't have that knowledge.
Tool works, but it doesnt do what everyone assumes it does

Maybe next time don't post a ****ty unfinished tool that doesn't work and then be all mysterious about what's going on with the progress. I told people it might brick their devices in every single comment, and they chose to use it. Not my fault.

Also, I looked through every single message that you had sent me and not ONE message said that it bricked the device. Don't go blaming me for being an idiot when you didn't tell me that the tool was unfinished and BRICKS DEVICES.

Maybe next time don't rehost other people's work without their permission.

Since ours is so bad, where's the tool you wrote?

Actually, where's anything you've written?

Its not a <bad> word tool, it works VERY good for what we designed it to do. Better than anything you have ever came up with.

Yes your fault, you pulled a lame move, you knew I planned to make it more user friendly.

I do blame you, I didn't tell you to post it, you know I pulled it down. I told you why I took it down (because it wasnt ready for those that don't have a clear understanding of it). I made it clear it wasnt ready to be in the hands of people that didn't know how to properly use it. Any root tool has the capability to potentially put users in a position to brick their phones, this is common sense. One you know isnt user friendly, well again common sense, makes it even easier to do so.

But yeah congrats for setting LG development back. You have no clue what you cost everyone.

Sorry, the stuff I've written is still on my computer because it's not finished and I don't want to brick anyone's device. A bit different from how you guys roll...

We roll by actually rooting and unlocking devices, our history speaks for itself.

Your current history is just reposting the work of other's.

Excuse me? That is completely false. Don't go spreading lies about me just because you're mad that your tool bricks people's phones

Last I checked we don't steal other people's work and release it.

Don't even try saying I stole it. You posted it and I gave you credit every time. You guys deserve all of the credit for breaking people's phones :)

No seriously, the only thing in your history of releasing here on XDA is our tool.

Our tool, like any root tool, can brick phones in the hands of people who don't understand how to use it. It is also an undocumented too, that isn't easy to understand unless you know what how it works on the low level.

Then you should've told me and the rest of people who asked you why you removed the tool that it bricks people's phones right away. You released it, and even if it isn't user friendly at least post a guide on how to safely use it.

I did tell you why I pulled it, it doesn't directly brick phones, but people who dont understand how dm-verity works, or who are unable to write their own exploit that allows byassing signature checks, are going to screw up since they don't know better.

You can't create a user friendly guide how to use it.

You messed up, you released something after knowing I didn't want it released, knowing that you can reach out to me and I do reply.

You pulled a spite move, and thats cool, I did too by ceasing wasting my time on this project.

its not teh community.

its the one ass hat.
It was one asshat who released it after @jcase made it clear not to and why. But I've read plenty of self entitled, "release it now" posts in multiple G5 forums both for this tool and @autoprime and other members of team codefire for an alternative. It's the way XDA has sadly been going for awhile now. I'm not saying that's the majority but they seem to be the loudest. And as this is a clear example, they ruin it for others. Why jcase or beaups or anyone else would put up with this is beyond me. And they clearly won't put up with it. Bummer for me but I don't/can't/won't blame them because I'd be pissed too.
