A good idea...

That kind of thing is asking to be scammed and is not allowed.

I don't hate bounties, i hate that there is no right way to run one, always resulting in someone getting screwed.
Seems like an opportunity for a gofundme like site. I'm thinking "XDARootEscrow.com" or something... Any reason we can't use an existing one to accomplish the same thing?

(No sarcasm, honest question) what process would you suggest? I figure you probably have a better idea from being on both sides of bounties.

Pledging as we use now is the safest, the developers (like me) get the shaft in it, but the community's money is safe in that situation.

I feel like a kid the day before Christmas when you know you're getting what you ask for but you still have to wait to get it

Lucky... I feel like I made a terrible choice. I have never had an UN rooted phone for over a day, much less a month. All of my titanium backups are unusable. Kinda wish I never would have left HTC.

Doesn't Google's DM-verity make that a non-starter?
Sorry buddy, I don't follow what you're explaining. Any chance you could ELI5 it? If you are mentioning that it couldn't be possible, it certainly was possible to root the LG G4 (and many other phones) without unlocking the bootloader.
