Lol his level of egoism is significantly greater than his level of altruism. I wonder if he is talking seriously, or is he trolling though. The root is the only thing stopping me from buying the lg g5 h830.
He always does act better than others. So I can't say I'm surprised at his statement.

Probably a mix of trolling and seriousness.

I'm pretty sure since he is part of Codefire that he has root and also seems like he was being sarcastic to me

sent from my unrooted g5 cause T-Mobile and lg are jerks

He is obviously joking. But calling him names will certainly not help.

whelp, at least the new nexus phone is around the corner. I wont have any issues with root on that device as google knows how to treat it's users :) (not a shoot at the devs but @ the oems). Plus i'll get it for $200 off msrp from @barondebxl after 3 weeks :)

lol but im not calling him with any names. Every person has some level of egoism and altruism. That is just a fact. Now i can say that his joke is significantly egoist but not like saying egoist of selfishness but egoist of self-centered. Now, if he were to read this and take it the wrong way... well that's not my fault hahaha. Believe me, the least i would do here on XDA is to criticize in such an extreme way. Maybe in a mild way always giving the level of respect every person deserve.

(P.S Out of context: My Samsung galaxy s5 is developing a new problem every week lol, i need to buy the LG G5 ASAP, Comeee root comeee wherever you are)

be cool to donate service and hardware, I have hardware that might be of use, Processors, SSD's HDD's or services like Web design, gfx, website, video editing and what not. can be useful for at least creating the interface if the app is in a form of windows or what not. or if the winner just needs help in other areas. tangent, sorry.

count me in for $20 usd. prefer T-MO.

Request for simplicity

Count me in. I will happily pay $50 when my Verizon LG G5 is rooted and I can turn off a bunch of auto-run crap.

So... +$50 when my phone achieves root (again, on Verizon!). Will pay, happily.

UPDATE: Following RavenTBK's logic, I am raising / modifying my bounty offer:
For Verizon variant:
$100 before 31 May 2016
$50 for the month of June
$10 for July
$5 thereafter
Not usually a fan of bounties. Nor am I regular early adopter as I usually don't move into a new device till it's stable...but I've dumped my Nex6, and hopped the G5 train.

I'll bite on this one. I've been around XDA for years, and have always stuck to my dealings. This is no different.

I am totally not used to being without root, so I must incentivize a fast response if I can.

For Verizon variant:
$100 before 31May16
$50 for the month of June
$10 for July
$5 thereafter
Everyone please keep it simple, I'm not going to facilitate these complicated time release bounty pledges. Just say something simple, for example: "I will donate $50 for root on T-Mobile variant, and $100 for TWRP, also T-Mobile variant".

If you would like to reward the devs for doing it quicker than you expected, great go for it, (at the time of donation)! If you are expecting them to read this and try faster, that is ridiculous. If you feel it has gone too long and you don't want to donate the $50 you pledged, then just post here asking to be removed from the list.

Please keep it simple. It is okay to add a bonus of some sort, which I can put in parenthesis, with a link to your post detailing the bonus, but NO time frame donation reduction math problem type stuff PLEASE.

@ajindy & @RavenTBK: For now (until you reply to clarify what you want to do) I'm putting you both down for $50 (with the $100 and date in parentheses), but only adding $50 to the totals.

I am 100% with you, hugehead83. How dare you share data ("36 days")! It is unfortunate that someone interprets this as being pissy. I like you posting this as it broadcasts to those who can find a solution that there are people who remain interested. Count me in on that front!

Time keeps ticking without root on the LG G5 where WITH ROOT on my LG G4, I was able to:
- effectively double my battery life by shutting off tons of crap. I so miss this on the LG G5. Thus, my bounty commitment.
- do all kinds of wonderful things in terms of custom backups and configurations. I miss this, too.

I absolutely LOVE the LG G5 (CAMERA!!!) and it will be a banner day when I get this Verizon-based thing rooted.

Peace.
