If you don't like In-Ears earphones, you just have to look for Earbuds & Semi-In-Ears like QianYun Qian69, VE Monk, MEMT T5, MoonDrop Nameless. Best sound quality is first two. Look for review for models and choose, but maybe Qian69 is best choise from theese.
I saw them. Not so inspiring I guess. Probably I will raise the budget to max 80$ and go for ? headphones. Those have better quality because they are bigger, right?

I am using the stock bundled LG G7 earphones with my Sony Xperia XZ1 Compact. It doesn't have DAC but it does have Sony Audio enhancements. They seem good, I like the wire material, the design and the sound does not seem bad. But I just realized the jack is not even covered with gold as it has a silver color. Does it make a lot of difference?
Normally even cheap earphones have the jack gold.

I highly doubt it makes any difference. The coating wears off after a while anyways.

Beleive it or not, I still have my lg g3 headphones. Guess what! They sound 50% more louder than g7's. Sometimes old stuff is better than new ones.

Stock earphones not sound good. Even AKG from Samsung S8 are not good as chinese in ear earphones for 15$. They are just put in the box for people who don't care and just use what's in the box.

Okay so bought bqeyz kb100.. with bass mod they sound good. Average soundstage, good clarity, sometime bass over powers mids with bass mod, but without bass mod, they sound too flat and little less fuller (less subbass). So gave it to my gf and bought kz as10 and i did not like its sound signature. Sub bass roll off if very fast. So sold and bought tin HiFi t3 and settled for now. Great value for money. Very detailed highs, with bass mod, bass is perfect (i listen to them in low volumes so need bass mod). Bass doesn't bleed into mids. Sound magical.. and also bought beyerdynamic dt990 pro.. these headphones sound fantastic to me.. love their soundstage, imaging and clarity.. treble is near perfect.. i even gave up my subbass love for these headphones just because they sound fabulous. Treble might be too much for some.. but i realized how good treble can be.. piece of art..

Try finding a pair of the B&Os they usedto bundle with their phones they are tuned for the dac. You should also get Neutron it is is the only app I will pay for. The level of adjustment is so ridiculous you will get exactly the sound you want. It does take practice but it is not some 5 band EQ.
