I bricked mines by flashing the T-Mobile one. Don't try it. It is fixable with qfil of course.Has anyone tried to flash any G710TM20 (T-Mobile) on one of these cross flashed devices? Will it brick the device?

New user (Canada)... decided to share my experience.
Stumble across ebay deal for those LG G7 G710PM converted to ULM phone and couldn't resist.
Bought 4 for all family home and abroad. (100$ to 150$ depend on the wear) Best deal ever. I can't figure out what is the big deal and importance of OTA updates.
Since my son asked for Netflix one of the phones runs on Verizon Pie "G710VM20e_03_1205.kdz" now.
Smooth re-flash on LGUP Dualmode with "partition dll" select all and second re-flash with "refurbished" option.
GPay and Netflix works. GSM Signal normal. LTE data normal but only by manual APN setting. WiFi calling tried to register without success. Could not care less.
Second phone on Pie "G710ULM20e_00_NAO_US_OP_1010.kdz" no GPay and Netflix although SafetyNet looks better: request success but response failed. Don't know how to check if wifi call works.
The last two on original Oreo LM-G710ULM (V10b-LAO-COM)
I may actually keep original LM-G710ULM (V10b-LAO-COM) since the benchmark test on AnTuTu I have ran gives better performance 34000. The same test on G710ULM20e_00_NAO_US_OP_1010.kdz gives 32000 and on Verizon Pie "G710VM20e_03_1205.kdz" 30000.
If anyone have any Idea how to properly test the performance will gladly run new tests.
On LG website there is a newer firmware version (G710ULM20f_00_NAO_US_OP_0218.kdz) with with build date 02.04.2020, can i follow the same steps and use this instead? Has anyone already tested this?
=====UPDATE=====
So i tried to flash with the latest firmware and all went very smooth, i am now on 710ULM20f, the only issue is very poor data reception (-116dBm 24 asu) barely 1-2 bars and of course data speed is ridiculously slow on T-Mobile..
Does someone have any suggestions on how to improve it?
Should i return the phone to the eBay seller/scammer?
=====UPDATE=====
I did one last try with the Verizon G710VM20g (double flash, first DL Partition and got stuck on Verizon logo for about 5 min.. forced reboot and second flash with Refurbished option in LGUP) and with great pleasure the phone data speed and signal is back to normal and it even received an OTA update!! Firmware is bloated with VZ stuff but it is decent trade off compared with what i spent..
Hi. I also bought a G7ULM but I think it's a PM flashed. I am stuck on Oreo 8.0 with July Security Patch and 710ULM10f firmware.
Can I use this method to get manually update to Pie?
Any risk of Brick?
Thanks.

Wel I just follow this intruction, thank to @Jafet Guadamuz, Post #156, Pag. 16
1) Download the firmware ULM20e (update 2019-11-14) --HERE-- (ULM Firmware its the free unlocked version for USA, No bloatware at all)
2) Download the DUAL LGUP https://mega.nz/#!Jww2GIAa!efSwLp3vCl1ajANCutYGWn6qimypN5KMzW1xS3M0YSY **Link fixed**
3) uninstall any lg software (Very Important!!!)
4) Install the drivers lg https://mega.nz/#!FwxjiYQa!qZAFZNNNyFFuPrzDQp0C2KW_CmoQaaoY7hq-mFrvuAM
5) install LGUP, at the end they will choose setdev.bat usin Right click and "execute as an administrator" to create the DLL. (This step its very important, I was getting DLL missing error with the main post method, this work fine for me)
----Open LGUPD and do not close it.
----Now Turn Off the movil and put it in "Download Mode", Press Volme (+) and Conect it to PC via USB (LGUP should now "See" the Movil
6) On LGUP Flashing Screen, use the partition dll and select "Refurbished" and Select the .KDZ file that you al ready downloaded
7) Now it will start, it will restart the logo and give you the welcome screen. in my case, phone reboot normally Twice, after second reboot its ready to wizard configuration!!!!
Remember, i Bouth a Sprint Movil with ULM firmware and I was stuck with no Update on Android Oreo 8.0 FW 710ULM10f and July 2018 Security Patch, Now I am on Android Pie 9, Clean FW 710ULM20e with 1st October 2019 Security patch!!!!
Still no S/N and I dont know if Google Pay Works because I dont use it.
Thank you and I hope to help!!!!!
^^ Same here very curious after reading through everything. Bought a new unlocked G710VM on eBay for T-Mobile carrier and flashed G710ULM20f. Not bad so far after doing the apn settings. But when in LGUP, it only flashed when UPGRADE was checked in my case. Refurbished didn't work but didn't do Partion DL being unsure what to check and uncheck. Was totally scared. Lol. Weird. It's working though right now. Tomorrow going to try dual mode mentioned above maybe. Thanks for the great guide and time. Cheers.
I went ahead and flashed my device running USA unlocked Android 9 (G710ULM20f_00_NAO_US_OP_0218) with Canadian unlocked Android 10 (G710AWM30b_00_OPEN_CA_OP_0605).
I did a "partition dl". Flash went successfully. Yet to check how it works. Initial check seems positive. Happy to be running Canadian Android 10 with June 2020 security patch!
Update:
1) Signal in ULM pie firmware wasn't great here in Canada. Now even with Canadian firmware, there is no improvement in signal.
2) Volte is working.
3) Wifi Calling works.
4) Netflix works.
5) Google protect works.
6) S/N is still missing.
7) SmartWorld doesn't let log-in. No themes section in SmartWorld. ULM firmware had it.
8) Audio quality seems marginally better than ULM pie firmware. Could be my imagination too!
Thanks! It worked perfectly on one of my G7 710ULM. For a second I had an entry in S/N, but disappeared directly. German language is working.
Is an update possible with not lossing data and is it recommended?

Hi,
I got that
Safety e-Report app preinstalled ( play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=kr.go.safepeople&hl=en ). It has a bunch of permissions and a suspicious support Email "[email protected]" . I'm not pretty sure if that is an official korean government app for tracing covid-19 and other "safety issues" or if that ist scam or malware.
Does anybody know more about that app? Thank you!
BR
I installed that firmware above, it is listed as canadian firmware "lg-firmwares.com/de/downloads-file/23014/G710AWM30b_00_OPEN_CA_OP_0605"I wouldn't know.. I have installed Canadian firmware. If you have installed Korean one, may be it is a COVID19 related app or something like that. I won't be too concerned. Just remove it for the user using adb.

Do you have another source? I will try it with adb at the weekend.
Thank you!

Few weeks ago i got a LG G7 “UNLOCKED” on ebay, the phone had a sticker where it said model “LGG710PM”, the bad news i was stuck with a FIRMWARE LM-G710ULM (V10b-LAO-COM) MAY 2018. I tried updating the phone via OTA or LGBridge and i had no luck. So i looked online for the correct KDZ file for the LGG710PM and also no luck, So what i did is look for a G710ULM KDZ, but the only one the i could find was the G710ULM10G_00 (https://www.mylgphones.com/lg-g7-thinq-project-fi-stock-firmware-g710ulm10g.html) . So after searching online and watching some videos on youtube if this could work, i found a youtuber video (MAXLEE) he change a FIRMWARE of sprint to a Canadian FIRMWARE and it work he did it on a LG G6. So what i did is try it on MY G7 model LGG710PM“ the only thing is that on the G7 there's a few more steps to do:
1) Download G710ULM10G_00 KDZ file
https://www.mylgphones.com/lg-g7-thinq-project-fi-stock-firmware-g710ulm10g.html
2) Download LGUP and install (make sure to use this link for download and follow instructions, like this you don't get an error when
you insert the KDZ file and hit START).
https://mega.nz/#!kCpHBaia!xZmico6MYL1T07ffuc8z6cCbs5oU4pKEz5VG-AwfvV0
A) Make sure you don't have LGBrige installed, if so UNINSTALL and delete any folder of LGBridge after you have uninstalled
(C:\Program Files (x86)\LG Electronics)
B) Download the LGUP zip file and unzip, if you don't have the drivers install lgdrives(The file is inside the folder LGUP-LG G7 ThinQ).
After that install “LGUP_Install_Ver_1_14_3 (1).msi “ file.![]()
C) After installing LGUP you must go to C:\Program Files (x86)\LG Electronics\LGUP and copy the first three files(CODEFIRE, LOG,
model) from the UNZIPED FILE from step B.
D) Go to file “model” (C:\Program Files (x86)\LG Electronics\LGUP\model) then go to file “common”....go to step “E” don't close the
window….
E) Go to the UNZIP FOLDER, go to file WindowsLGFirmwareExtract-1.2.6.1-Release. Run “WindowsLGFirmwareExtract.exe” and select
the KDZ file you downloaded, then make sure you
check on “LGUPc.dll. EXTRACT KDZ.
F) A file “LGUPc.dll” will be created, Copy that file into the folder “common”...... you should had left that window open from step “D”. Rename the actual “LGUP_Common.dll” to
“LGUP_CommonDDD.dll” and “LGUPc.dll” to “LGUP_Common.dll” and then deltate the “LGUP_CommonDDD.dll”.
Open LGUP...put your phone in download mode... select the KDZ file you downloaded from step “1” and in PROCESS select REFURBISH…. Then click START.
I bought sprint unlocked phone preinstalled with G710ULM10g from ebay for T-Mobile network .Upgraded to Android Pie G710ULM20d June patch 3 months ago with LGUP tool manually and today updated again to October patch G710ULM20e.Every time there is a new patch you have to repeat the same process.
1) Download kdz file from this site
lg-firmwares.com/downloads-file/21135/G710ULM20e_00_NAO_US_OP_1010
Note:- It's not allowing me to post hyperlinks ,just add secure protocol before links i.e https://
I realized all links are in the first post.Just download above firmware.
LGUP Tool Flashing Image
LG Support Tool Current Version After Update
---------- Post added at 11:05 AM ---------- Previous post was at 10:09 AM ----------
@EPayan Yes you can.See the link to LGUP tool image I posted. The reason why I posted that image is to point the correct versions.I did flashing with different versions of LGUP tools and DLL's finally I found the correct versions that worked with my phone.I came across the same error you mentioned with different version of DLL.Just make sure you have correct version and place rom file in LGUP tool directory ,after everything is in order disconnect phone and switch phone to download mode and reconnect and flash (I wish I came across this first post before I wasted valuable time )
I decided to flash Verizon. Followed the steps in the original post. At the last step I got an error "Not support cross model download G710ULM to G710VM" I wonder if I downloaded the wrong kdz. I followed the link for Verizon and there were two kdz files. I might have downloaded the "VRS" region instead of the "VRZ" region (it had a slightly newer date). would that have been my problem?
