I'm shocked! My NZ/ Australian G8s is downloading 20a OTA right now. I was starting to think it might not actually get updated.

G810EAW variant updated to 10, TIM operator branded. no problem so far, semms cleaner to me.

Nope same here. Apparently LG confirmed our ZA devices update only coming in december, so i take it all EA models is only december root is still impossible too without abl.

i guess we wait on..

Where did you read about the update coming in December? Is there any reason for this delay? Isn't the hardware supposed to be the same between EA and EAW variants?

I have no idea why, i cant post links here but i can tell you go google "g8s android 10" and look for piunkaweb page with lg update tracker, LG replied to a tweet saying ZAF models only getting in december, if you go look EA model is only in 8 countries and none have received where as EAW has a few countries that have it. EAW you can even BL unlock where EA even though you got fastboot and can write a bl key, cant unlock.

LG seems to be treating these with lower priority to everything. Im guessing they're the black sheep of the range

My best guess is yours will come more or less same time as mine, but all i can really confirm is i don't have the update yet and i saw it was asked to LG and they said december.

Since yours and mine are in the same model line. This is just a guess it will be same for you. Im still stuck on 10i.

Hope one day someone just gets this damn phone rooted so we can do GSIs and not rely on LG's amazing service for updates

Nope dude. I asked many times and everytime they said " Android 10 update still under development. Stay hold. Coming soon"

I think never comes out. LOL

Unbelievable that the EAW model is receiving security patches and our EA is still waiting for the Android 10 update...

Hold off a bit. I literally just got my update a minute ago!! EA model ZAF 20a

It seems the update is rolling out also for the EA variant, at least in some countries...anyone from Australia received the update yet?
