ill test it tonight once i write the code correctly all it does is bacup the database and restore it to the same location set the perrmissions then reboot and if by magic the texts come back as if they didn't get removed lol
i have the backup functioning correctly but im having issues with setting the permissions when restoring the files again ;(
doing the final stages of testing the backup and restore tool

its something similar to your script that's what inspired me to make a more updated version using more simpler code and some new features. I am aiming to convert it from a batch script to a fully GUI based exe with vb or some other programming code.
edit: just as i thought i had the code correct for the backup and restore i done one final test and i started getting force closes FS ;(
